We design, build and install turnkey production systems, tooling, robotic assembly systems, and material handling equipment for our customers.POSITION SUMMARYWe are looking for a Project Manager Officer to be located in Badalona (Barcelona). As an integral part of Aritex Opex team, you will report to the Head of Operational Excellence The Project Management Officer (PMO) plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing project management processes within the Operational Excellence department. This position involves coordinating project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards, and facilitating communication among project stakeholders.Main duties• Process Development: Focused on creating and continuously improving project managementprocesses to ensure standardization across all teams.• Tool Development and Maintenance: Tasked with selecting, developing, and maintaining projectmanagement tools (project management software, time tracking systems, reporting dashboards,etc.) that will be uniformly used by all PMs.• Training and Support: Responsible for providing ongoing training and support to PMs (both seniors and juniors) in the use of standardized tools and adherence to uniform processes.• Collaboration and Communication: The PMO should establish regular communication channels with all PMs to gather feedback, provide updates on process/tool improvements, and discuss common challenges. Periodic meetings would be set up between the PMO and senior PMs to review the effectiveness of tools and processes and adjust as necessary.• Team Management: Lead and manage a team of PMO Specialists who provide support to projectmanagers in their daily duties. Provide guidance, training, and support to the PMO team to ensurealignment with project objectives and departmental goals.• Risk Management: Define standard process to monitor project risks and deploy KPIs & tools forproject potential risks identification, and support PMs with processes and tools to effectivelycommunicate their mitigation strategies and take proactive measures to minimize their impact onproject outcomes.• Monitoring & Reporting: Define, share and deploy process & tools to track project progress against established milestones and deliverables, based on OTD (On Time Delivery), OCT (On Cost Delivery) and OQD (On Quality Delivery). Collaborate with the Business Unit on the regular project reports for customers on OTD, OCT and OQD, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and areas requiring attention.• Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teammembers, stakeholders, and external partners. Define process standards on stakeholdercommunication, to ensure clear and timely dissemination of project-related information to all relevant parties.• Project Management Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes for ProjectManagement to ensure that PM deliverables meet quality standards and customer requirements.Conduct periodic reviews and audits to assess PMO standards adherence and compliance withinternal and external PMO quality metrics, including documentation management.• Lessons Learned: Facilitate lessons learned sessions at the conclusion of projects to capture insights, best practices, and areas for improvement. Incorporate lessons learned into future project planning and execution.• Internal policies compliance: Knowing, managing, and applying the Information systems policy and information security policies implemented in the company.Educational Background:• Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable.• Proficiency in English spoken and written (C1 minimum).• Proficiency in Spanish and/or Catalan spoken and written (C1 minimum).• Any other additional language would be a plus.Experience (minimum required):• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management roles, preferably in manufacturing orengineering environments.• Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional project teams and managing complex projects from initiation to completion.• Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA) and Microsoft Office Suite.Skills required:• Project Management Expertise: Proficient in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management to understand & oversee project execution and ensure the company has the proper processes for PM.• Analytical Thinking: Possesses an analytical mindset to assess project performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize project management strategies and outcomes.Effective Communication: Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.• Organizational Skills: Supports multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills,coordinating tasks, schedules, and resources effectively.• Problem-Solving Abilities: Applies strong problem-solving skills to understand challenges, mitigate risks, and propose countermeasures to keep projects on Time, Quality and Cost throughout the project lifecycle.• Technical Proficiency Coaching: Utilizes project management software and tools proficiently tocoach PMs to track project progress, analyze data, and generate reports for informed decisionmaking in the most effective way.• Adaptability and Resilience: Demonstrates flexibility and resilience to navigate challenges anduncertainties inherent in project environments, adjusting strategies and approaches as needed toachieve different projects with different challenges.
