PROJECT CONTROLLER

Aquila Clean Energy is Aquila Group’s company responsible for the development and construction of the Solar PV and Wind portfolio in Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Greece. The company develops currently more than 50 projects with over 3 GW of renewable power in the Iberian market (Spain and Portugal) and 40 more projects (around 2.5 GB) in Italy and Greece. As an independent investment fund manager, Aquila Capital is specialized in the investment and management of real assets and has been operating in the Iberian market since 2014.For our office in Madrid, we are looking for a Project Controller.Your Responsibilities:Review and prepare the monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting for the renewable projects including profit and loss statement, cashflow, balance sheet, and financial KPI’s.Analyze and report possible deviations of Time/Cost/Quality calculations during the project´s timeline in comparison to the business plan as well as budget and explain the deviations by close coordination with the different departments (Investment, Development, Construction, Operations, Asset Management, etc). Propose countermeasures in case of deviations.Ensure accuracy and integrity of the Profit and Loss account between actual figures and budget coding tree in the controlling tool for renewable projects.Steer Liquidity Management between Fund and Project Management.Support other departments from the origination until hand over in all concerns of interim financing aspects of the projects.Ensure correct maintenance of the Group’s IT controlling system that supports the analytical information.Key requirements:Degree in Business Administration or similar, ideally with a focus on Finance or Economics.4-5 years’ experience in Finance/Controlling/ FP&A in a Big Four or in the Renewable Energy Industry.Fluent in both English and Spanish. Strong verbal and written communication skills required in both languages.Strong technical accounting background and experience in accounting, statutory audit, reporting or planning.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.High capacity to adapt to changes and new processes taking ownership on them with a proactive approach.Being able to manage workloads, prioritize tasks and work through strict deadlines.Your ProspectsThe Aquila Group is a future-oriented company that combines focus, far-sightedness, ambition and independent entrepreneurial responsibility with team spirit and an outstanding corporate climate to create synergies.
