What´s like to work in Softonic ! About the position At Softonic we are looking for a talented and experienced Product Designer to join our Product team who is eager to use their skills to drive the success of our company.
As a Product Designer, your role will have a strategic impact on Softonic's business verticals so you will face, among others, the challenges of conversion funnel optimisation, recirculation proposals and recurrence strategy.
Applying data-driven behavioral design, our hope is that you will be able to create flows and functional solutions that provide the right balance between user needs and business growth, being responsible for the scalability and maintainability of the product + design systems and effective communication of your ideas.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders, product managers and engineers as part of our cross-functional approach, being key contributor in strategic decision-making processes at a product level.
REQUIREMENTS Key responsibilities   Manage and oversee product user experience, from conception to launch, in partnership with stakeholders, product management and engineering.
You will be actively involved in defining the customers’ and the business’ needs.
Ability to make active decisions on key issues related to product design, including design direction, forecast scenarios parallel to the "happy-path" and feature implementation.
Proficiency in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles, including the ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces with mobile first approach.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure that designs are pixel-perfect and align with the design specifications we provide.
Data-driven design culture, where design decisions are influenced not only by intuition, but also by the identification of key metrics.
Strong ability to manage and document components in Design Systems being an evangelist of their correct application, maintenance and scalability.
Critical thinking in prioritizing effort to provide the best solution aligned to stakeholders expectations and team collaboration times.
Understanding of technical requirements and needs, particularly those of the engineering team, to ensure that designs are feasible and can be implemented effectively.
Proactively request and provide feedback to continually raise the bar we set for quality, while also taking a mentorship role in both best practice and active learning for the Product Design team.
Minimum Experience and qualifications   3+ years of recent experience as a Product Designer in a similar role.
Strong portfolio showcasing your design process and proven experience creating and maintaining UI kits and/or design systems.
Solid knowledge of Figma, its community and productivity-boosting plugins.
Creative cloud tools are a plus.
Visual design skills with proficiency in typography, color, layout and iconography.
Experience across iOS, Android and web platforms, including an understanding of functional behaviors and OS-specific guidelines.
The ability to think at a high level about product strategy and clearly articulate design decisions based on data (Google Analytics + Research insights) and technical implications.
The ability to take ownership of the design process and work as a self-directed member of the team.
Strong organizational skills   Experience working in an agile workflow, with proficiency in Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean   To be a constant learner.
