PRINCIPAL ECONOMY DESIGNER - UNANNOUNCED PROJECT

Scopely is looking for a Principal Economy Designer to join our unannounced project ideally in Barcelona on a hybrid basis.

What You Will Do You will be responsibele for owning and driving the technical, creative, and strategic visions for best-in-class mobile free-to-play games.
As a game economy expert, you will help define and achieve monetization and progression goals of the game while shaping an engaging and rewarding player experience from concept through to completion.

Be a driving force for smart economy design and slick innovation within the organization Partner with product management, production, and the creative teams to develop designs and optimizations that achieve KPI targets Craft game structures that support 5+ year player lifecycles Develop design documents, economies, progression systems, and feature designs Iterate, optimize, grow, and evolve economies and designs for live games Contribute to the prioritization of feature and optimization roadmaps, working closely with PMs and GMs to build and grow games into category-leading blockbusters What We're Looking For A deep passion for games and for making games Extensive experience as a Systems or Economy Designer Experience working on games in pre and post-launch development environments Experience modelling/maintaining complex Economies (MMO, Strategy-MMO, RPG) Strong understanding of progression Systems and reward structures Demonstrated expertise in crafting game features, systems, and economies toward product outcomes in a data-informed creative environment A comprehensive understanding of the mobile games marketplace paired with an unwavering obsession for tracking new trends and evolving your design philosophy Ability to simulate and prototype progression systems in Excel Incredible energy and the ambition to build the next blockbuster mass-market game Outstanding organizational agility - the ability to partner with a variety of specialists and personalities to work towards your goals A positive, confident, open-minded, and inspirational attitude Highly proactive and action focused Bonus Points Monetization Experience on Live Games Understanding of system-driven player-owned narrative Relevant qualifications in Computing, Maths, Statistics, and/or Economics Strong knowledge of event-driven live operations in mobile games Experience in mentoring An avid player of F2P strategy games About Us Scopely is a global interactive entertainment and mobile-first video game company, home to many top, award-winning experiences such as "MONOPOLY GO!," "Star Trek™ Fleet Command," "Stumble Guys," "MARVEL Strike Force," and "Yahtzee® With Buddies," among others.
