YOUR MISSION As a Principal Analytics Engineer, you will be at the forefront of redefining how data is modeled, governed, and leveraged at Glovo.
You will work across domains, acting as a force multiplier for our analytics engineering capabilities, setting technical standards, unblocking teams, mentoring senior+ engineers, and aligning strategic goals with the data platform team.

THE JOURNEY Architectural Leadership Own and evolve Glovo’s data architecture across domains, shaping how data products are built, consumed, and governed at scale.
Lead the design of highly resilient, scalable, and extensible data solutions that power strategic decisions and data applications company-wide.
Strategic Influence Define the long-term vision and data strategy for Glovo’s analytics ecosystem in partnership with the VP of Data and cross-functional stakeholders.
Drive architectural decisions that impact multiple clusters and help shape company-wide data standards and practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with Platform, Engineering, Product, and Business teams to influence the development and implementation of robust, high-quality data assets.
Enforce best practices in data governance and documentation.
Mentorship & Community Leadership Mentor Staff and Senior Analytics Engineers across teams, nurturing technical growth and craftsmanship.
Lead the Analytics Engineering guild to scale best practices and build a culture of technical excellence and experimentation.
Innovation & Thought Leadership Stay on top of emerging trends in the data ecosystem.
Lead initiatives to adopt cutting-edge technologies or methodologies that bring tangible impact.
Represent Glovo’s engineering practices in external forums like conferences, meetups, or blog posts.
Technical Execution Balance vision with hands-on work.
engage in complex problem-solving, lead design reviews, unblock teams, and deliver high-impact data solutions when needed.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE 10+ years of experience in Data or Analytics Engineering, with a significant track record of architectural and technical leadership.
Proven expertise in modern data stack tools (e.
.
dbt, BigQuery, Apache Spark, Airflow, Looker/Tableau, AWS/GCP, etc.), end-to-end data ingestion and processing architectures, and a strong programming foundation (e.
.
Python, SQL, etc.).
Deep knowledge of data modeling at scale (e.
.
dimensional modeling, data mesh, etc.) and data governance (e.
.
data contracts, lineage, observability, quality, privacy, etc.).
Experience driving strategic data initiatives across multiple teams or domains in a high-growth or complex organization.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills—you bring clarity to ambiguity and foster alignment at all levels.
Thought leadership in Analytics Engineering, with extensive experience mentoring teams, especially at senior+ levels, and championing data best practices.
  YOUR FIRST 180 DAYS   Oversee the current data analytics stack migration from AWS to GCP, and adjacent changes in our platform tooling for segmentation, machine learning, and experimentation.
Coordinate the staff engineers group and analytics engineer guild to increase trust in data and technical excellence Collaborate with Data Platform and Engineering to implement shared capabilities to increase analytics engineers' efficiency Define the vision & strategy to scale the analytics engineering craft for the next 3 years   Individuals representing diverse profiles, and abilities, encompassing various genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds, are less likely to apply for this role if they do not possess solid experience in 100% of these areas.
