POWER OPS PROJECT MANAGER

What you’ll do Role purpose.
A Technical project manager with strong power & telecom background.
Must be able to manage network services power resources for all network sites ensuring power stability with high availability.
Must be able to manage power energy saving projects to ensure reduction in power consumption and increase efficiency.
Must have the ability to foster relationships both internally and with external entities.
Must have strong management skills to many contractors and suppliers to achieve company’s strategy,  •    Responsible to support Regional Operations teams’ targets (deployment and network availability).
•    Responsible to study energy efficiency solutions in alignment with network engineering to achieve Opex savings.
•    Responsible to deliver different Power Projects targets.
•    Responsible for Power Operations across all regions like Commercial power meter charging, Generators overhauling, DC Power and batteries systems.
•    Act as the focal point between VFE & Governmental entities like Electricity Companies and Misr Petroleum for all the operational & financial aspects.
•    Manage all network services digitalization & automation to achieve company’s targets.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership  Power Management •    Managing yearly deployment plan preparation for prime, hybrid and standby generators to support Regional Operations new rollout sites.
•    Managing generators ordering and implementation according to yearly plan and requirements.
•    Managing various contractors & suppliers’ throughout ordering and implementation process.
•    Managing overhauling workshops including spare parts ordering, stockage and deployment.
Fuel Management •    Focal point with Misr petroleum company for fuel supply.
•    Preparing yearly fuel plan for all generators supporting network sites.
•    Managing all fuel ordering & delivery to Vodafone network sites  •    Solving all operational issues regarding Fuel shortage at different depots all over Egypt.
•    Keeping a good and sound relationship with Misr Petroleum to ensure smooth work flow with excellent knowledge to any new regulations and requirements.
•    Helping to keep OPEX costs as low as possible by optimizing fuel usage.
Energy Projects •    Main role in energy projects identification and evaluation.
•    Projects targets setup in alignment with network engineering.
•    Budget, supplier, and contractors’ management.
•    Ensure all targets are tracked with any needed intervention to achieve monthly & yearly targets.
Who you are Budget Management •    Accountable for planning, forecast and manage the budget for Generator, hybrid & energy Projects •    Accountable and responsible to deliver Power project yearly target.
•    Identify and realize cost saving potentials driven by continuous improvement process Digitalization and Automation  •    Manage all network services digitalization & automation to achieve company’s targets including setting up forums to support the formation, implementation, monitoring & continuous enhancements for power operations processes.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience [max 5].
•    Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Mobile Business  among which at least 6 years in Technology related functions •    BSC of Engineering in Mechanical or Power •    Post graduate studies is an advantage but not a must (CPM, CPS or MBA) •    Full understanding of customer demands/needs and flexibility to exceed customers’ expectations.
•    Strong experience in Power DC/AC and generators.
•    Must have a strong and proven track record of operational services leadership experience.
•    Ability to deliver challenging targets in a dynamic market environment.
