Team for Career Site Supply Chain In short We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional with a solid background in transportation operations, specifically focusing on optimization and continuous improvement, to join our Inbound Transportation Excellence team as an Inbound Transportation Excellence Specialist in Zurich.
The Inbound Transportation Excellence team is an integral part of the Global Inbound Transportation department, which is responsible for the timely and optimal delivery of products from suppliers to warehouses.
The Inbound Transportation Excellence team spearheads initiatives and projects aimed at driving continuous improvement and enhancing inbound transport operations efficiencies.
In this role, you will play a key part in the development and management of dashboards, processes, and projects designed to improve visibility, optimize performance, reduce costs, decrease complexity, and ensure a high level of responsiveness and flexibility within our transportation network.
Your mission €“ Contribute to the development and management of KPI, business insights, new tools, processes, SOP (standard operating procedures) and projects to maintain/improve service levels, reduce costs, reduce complexity and to deliver a high level of responsiveness and flexibility.
€“ Drive data accuracy initiatives with effective design and maintenance relevant reports.
€“ Strive to standardize, align and constantly re-assess global transport requirements on logistics service providers, operational processes and connectivity/data processes to support business growth.
€“ Work with various stakeholders (Transport Operations Team, Logistics Service Providers, Production Planning, Regional Operations, Supply Planning, Customs and Finance) to deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
€“ Apply best practice sharing and strive for standardization and harmonization whenever relevant.
€“ Able to act as support or backup for the Operations Team when necessary.
Your story €“ Bachelor€™s degree in business, economics, logistics, supply chain, information systems, or operations required; Master€™s degree a plus.
€“ +3 years of work experience in global transport operations, ideally in an apparel/fashion or freight forwarding/carrier industry.
€“ Considerable knowledge and operational experience in all modes of transport, ie.
airfreight, sea freight, truck, courier etc.
preferred.
€“ Experience in transport business analytics and process management is an advantage.
€“ Profound analytical, structured and data driven mindset.
€“ Team player, resourceful, high degree of self-management, critical thinking, enthusiasm and drives to perform.
€“ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and in writing, to interact effectively and efficiently with different teams and stakeholders.
€“ Passion to work with an international team and strong cross-cultural and dynamic environment.
€“ Proficiency in MS Excel is a must, ideally experienced with InforNexus, PowerQuery and macros.
€“ Excellent English language proficiency.
