Packs EMEA is looking for an exceptional Designer and Developer to join our Product team based in Antwerp, Belgium.
Let’s talk about the role!      You will design and develop the global product lines to meet the needs of the target consumers and market requirements in terms of price, distribution and segmentation.
You will manage the entire product development process following the seasonal calendar from design research to concept to salesman samples.
You will be dedicated to special projects and development of collections for VF brands.
How You Will Make a Difference Understand consumer needs and market trends through research and field visits.
Translated seasonal direction into relevant, on-brand product designs Propose styling, colour, and print concepts aligned with product strategy.
Source materials and stay up to date on latest technologies and vendor capabilities.
Oversee product development from concept to salesman samples Collaborate closely with sourcing, design agencies and factories to ensure timely execution Evaluate prototypes to ensure quality, fit and cost efficiency.
Ensure target margins are met and make sure collections are developed as cost-efficient as possible.
Monitor in-market product performance and gather feedback for future improvements Ensure accuracy and timelines in providing tech specs and sample briefs Support seasonal presentations with visual mood boards, product pictures and tools (samples follow up) to contribute to all line reviews.
Contribute to the organisation of the sales previews, assist in the logistic of all necessary samples as well as taking part in the group presentations.
Skills for Success 5-7 years of experience in product design and development, preferably within lifestyle, fashion, accessories industry Proven track-record of managing end-to-end seasonal product cycles, from concept to samples delivery Proficiency in Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to create clear and accurate Tech packs/spec sheets Strong project management and organisational skills, with attention to details and timelines Is passionate about product innovation and deeply consumer focused.
Being a true team player that champions new way of workings Demonstrates flexibility and initiative Open minded and positive energy Strong communication skills – includes presentation, influencing and negotiation skills Fluent English (both written and spoken) Willingness to travel to vendor meetings and market visits.
