MECHANICAL LEAD ENGINEER

The Mechanical Lead Engineer manages all engineering activities of a project related to Mechanical Design in order to ensure that relevant deliverables are in time, scope, quality and budget and adhere to established standards.
The Mechanical Lead Engineer estimates and manages mechanical engineering-related project risks, he owns the related planning and scheduling and acts as point of contact for mechanical engineering.
The Mechanical Lead Engineer functionally reports to the Project Manager in the respective projects or, if appointed, to a Project Lead Engineer.
In addition, the role will be involved in full cycle of the project from sales through engineering up to hand over.

Degree level of understanding in a technical Engineering discipline.
Desirable.
Understanding / Qualification in Machinery Safety Experience in a similar role is desirable.
5+ years hands on experience working within an industrial automation environment.
Experience leading project teams on complex projects A working understanding of technical manuals & drawings, Mechanical/Electrical Working knowledge of ISO standards governing the automated warehouse industry Travel approx.
15% (depends on the stage of the project) within EMEA Personal Attributes.
