Job Role Related Content (Role specific) Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the telecommunications field, demonstrating a strong background in data communications with a clear understanding of technologies and systems used, this should include some of the following; MPLS, SDWAN, SDN, ATM/ADSL, PDH/SDH, Cisco Routers & Switches, MLPPP, Ethernet, configuring Cisco, Alcatel, Nokia and Juniper Network devices Good understanding of TCP/IP protocols & services (TCP/UDP, IPSec, MPLS, Internet, SNMP, DNS, Radius/TACACS+, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, L2/L3 VPN & Netflow) and Transmission fundamentals Understanding of MPLS VPN fundamentals and their application within a Service Provider environment, including the application of QoS mechanisms Experience of provisioning tools, network management applications and network inventories (eg.
Cramer) and IP platforms  Knowledge of multi-vendor router and firewall configuration Computer Science or Telecommunications Engineering Valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) qualification / relevant experience.

Juniper JNCIA Junos accreditation.

Valid Cisco Certified Professional qualification (CCNP) Preferable.
SDWAN knowledge (Cisco – Viptela / Meraki, Juniper, VMware Velco Cloud, Fortinet & Juniper MIST), 4G, Firewall & IOT.
