MACHINE OPERATOR

Purpose of Role.
To ensure that our products meet internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
This role involves managing quality control staff, monitoring production processes, and implementing food safety and quality systems.
Results / Accountabilities 1.
Set up and calibrate machines before daily production.
2.
Ensure machine interlocks are functioning before operation.
3.
Operate machines according to established parameters and guidelines.
4.
Control and adjust machine settings (e.
., speed, weight, temperature).
5.
Monitor critical control points (CCP 1 and CCP 2).
6.
Monitor production output hourly to ensure product quality and reduce waste.
7.
Keep and update all records during and after operation.
8.
Maintain 5S standards and general hygiene.
9.
Follow SOPs for machine cleaning during and after operation.
10.
Comply with all safety, health, and environmental rules.
11.
Perform CIP/COP at the end of the production week.
12.
Document CIP and disinfection activities.
13.
Control and report raw material usage and machine output.
14.
Document and fix machine stops as they occur.
15.
Oversee routine cleaning of machines and metal detection equipment.
16.
Report maintenance needs and potential problems promptly.
17.
Report any identified problems with regards to the food safety management system to the Food Safety team for appropriate actions to maintain the integrity of the company 18.
Report near misses by filing and submitting the appropriate form immediately noticed 19.

Qualifications Education and Work Experience.
• SSCE/HND in any related engineering course.
• Minimum 2-years proven experience as machine operator • Food manufacturing experience and knowledge of current FSMS & ISO standards are a must.
• Knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery including any one or more of filling, cutting, packaging, pressing & wrapping granulating, boules, blending etc.
