LIVEOPS QA LEAD - YAHTZEE! WITH BUDDIES

Scopely is looking for a LiveOps QA Team Leader to join our Yahtzee! With Buddies team either in Tel Aviv or in Barcelona on a hybrid basis.

The team is based in Barcelona and Israel, and works every day to create captivating new experiences for our players.
What You Will Do Lead and Manage a team of LiveOps QA specialists working under an external vendor (offshore team), responsible for validating all live configurations, promotions, sales, A/B tests, and monetization activities across Android and iOS platforms.
Own the validation process for content created in our internal configuration tools (Backoffice System), ensuring accurate targeting, timing, and behavior before rollout.
Collaborate daily with Configuration, Product, Economy, Monetization, Art, and R&D teams to ensure business and technical alignment on all LiveOps activities.
Strengthen the working relationship with the external vendor, promoting operational excellence, visibility, and accountability across distributed teams.
Define, optimize, and improve QA processes, including test documentation, execution, and production monitoring to achieve operational excellence.
Investigate production issues, analyze logs, and validate fixes to minimize risks.
Act as the final quality gatekeeper, ensuring that all LiveOps activities meet the highest quality standards before release.
Report directly to the Head of LiveOps Production, ensuring visibility of team progress, challenges, and risks at all times.
What We're Looking For 2+ years of experience managing QA teams or leading QA efforts with ownership of deliverables and team mentoring.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
Experience in mobile gaming, preferably in LiveOps or configuration-based QA.
Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and offshore QA teams, driving accountability, visibility, and operational excellence.
Familiarity with in-game promotion validation, economy balancing, segmentation, and A/B testing.
Strong technical understanding of mobile platforms (iOS & Android) and backend/API interactions.
Experience with test documentation (STD, STP), test execution, and issue reporting.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to investigate issues, analyze logs, and query data (SQL is an advantage) to provide actionable insights.
Strong communication skills with excellent written and verbal English.
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of handling multiple live activities under tight deadlines.
Proactive problem solver with a self-starter mentality and a can-do attitude.
A sharp, assertive, go-getter who thrives under pressure and embraces hard work.
Eagerness to continuously learn, improve workflows, and solve challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Flexible to support off-hours live operations when needed.
Bonus Points Prior experience in CRM tools or admin configuration systems.
Experience in SQL or scripting languages.
Experience in mobile LiveOps execution in a top-tier gaming company.
Hands-on experience with advanced Google Sheets usage, including formulas, data validation, and automated test tracking.
Experience working with Jira or other task management tools.
