The Legal Department is a trusted business enabler that develops and maintains strong links with operational teams and participates in the Group’s development by facilitating profitable business through professional, proactive, innovative and pragmatic legal support for all the Group’s activities.What we are looking forThis is a unique opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join a Global Leader in Consulting, Digital Transformation, Technology and Engineering services and one of the TOP employers in Spain.Capgemini is seeking to recruit a Legal Counsel who will act as a commercial/IT lawyer to join an international team that support different countries on a regional and/or worldwide basis.Key responsibilitiesDraft, review and negotiate a broad range of sales and procurement contracts, especially in Manufacturing, Life Science, Consumer Products and Energy sectors; Update standard agreements;Leading the commercial legal work on all phases of our largest deals, ranging from the proposal/bid review stages through to negotiation and post signature issues. This includes helping determine strategic positions regarding that work with internal stakeholders. Ensuring appropriate support, follow up and resolution of internal escalations for approval of contractual matters;negotiations for the provision of IT, outsourcing (including business process outsourcing), engineering and consultancy services;the Capgemini business and stakeholders in various legal matters and helping to create innovative legal solutions; andas part of the global legal team on global initiatives, including supporting international transactions and group projects.Professional BackgroundA Law Degree or a Law Degree and Business Administration/ Economic (Grado en Derecho, Derecho y ADE, Derecho y Economía);lawyer with strong commercial skills;from the IT/commercial field within a reputable law firm or as inhouse legal counsel with at least 5-6 years of experience from commercial and contract law and negotiation;Level of English (proficient). Excellent written and verbal English with the ability to draft and negotiate contracts; andknowledge in French. Your skillsOverall knowledge of commercial and contract law;Business acumen, pragmatic and results oriented;Able to work under pressure and manage demanding timescales and a good understanding of legal impacts and managing risks;Use of legal knowledge to proactively enable and facilitate new business and competitive advantages for Capgemini;Excellent negotiator;Able to liaise with a variety of internal stakeholders on the related business risks, with an eye on long-term internal and external effect;Working effectively in a team spirit within the legal department and within the other functions (sales, risk, delivery, finance etc.);Strong communication and analytical skills;Sound commercial sense and understanding; andHigh ethical thinking and behaviour.
