Our research group is looking for a highly motivated research engineer interested in accelerating applications with novel HPC architectures.

In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team of researchers and engineers, contributing to leading scientific research.
Key Duties * You will use your architecture and debugging expertise to verify complex digital designs, focused on scalar cores and multi-core systems.
* You will collaborate closely with design and verification engineers in active projects and perform hands-on verification, and contribute to design, build, and integrate the designs.
* You will build tests for verification environments that exercise processor designs through their corner-cases and expose all types of bugs.
* You will be involved in the full life cycle of verification, including verification planning, test and assertion implementation, failure triaging, debugging, coverage definition and others.
Requirements Education BS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience Deep understanding of computer architecture concepts and their implementation in modern in-order and out-of-order processor core microarchitectures.
Understanding of multi-core architectures, multi-threaded programming and cache coherence protocols.
Familiarity with ISA-level specifications.
Experience with SystemVerilog or other HDL, simulation and debugging of designs.
Fluency writing C- and Asm- tests.
Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard simulators (Model/QuestaSim, VCS, etc.), revision control systems and regression systems.
Strong debugging skills and able to work with design engineers to deliver functionally correct design blocks.
Execute tests.
Analyze data, prepare reports summarizing results and statistics.
Scripting experience using scripting languages like Python, Perl, Bash or Tcl to perform support adjustments and customization of design and verification flows.
Familiarity with Linux.
Fluency in English.
Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience Knowledge of vector architectures.
Familiarity with the RISC-V architecture.
Competences Ability to work independently, take initiative, prioritize and work under set deadlines.
Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team according to an established timeline Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Development of the recruitment process The selection will be carried out through a competitive examination system ("Concurso-Oposición").
The recruitment process consists of two phases.
Curriculum Analysis.
Evaluation of previous experience and/or scientific history, degree, training, and other professional information relevant to the position.
- 40 points Interview phase.
The highest-rated candidates at the curriculum level will be invited to the interview phase, conducted by the corresponding department and Human Resources.
In this phase, technical competencies, knowledge, skills, and professional experience related to the position, as well as the required personal competencies, will be evaluated.
- 60 points.
A minimum of 30 points out of 60 must be obtained to be eligible for the position.
The recruitment panel will be composed of at least three people, ensuring at least 25% representation of women.
In accordance with OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for each vacancy at the beginning of the process.
After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will begin the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview.
At a minimum, a personality questionnaire as well as a technical exercise will be conducted during the process.
The panel will make a final decision, and all individuals who participated in the interview phase will receive feedback with details on the acceptance or rejection of their profile.
