JUNIOR RESEARCHER ON CO2 CAPTURE

The successful candidate will join the Hydrogen and Power-to-X department of the research centre.
The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following tasks.
- Develop research projects in the field of CO2 capture, storage and uses.
- Write articles as first author and co-author in high impact journals.
- Write research proposals and participate in the preparation of applications for competitive funding, both private and public.
- Collaborate with CIIAE and external researchers.
- Successful collaboration with universities, research institutes and companies at national and international level.
- Manage projects and administration (internal and external), also for the department and CIIAE.
- Gradually develop skills to manage, coordinate and lead independent projects.
The challenge of this position is to increase efficiency, reduce cost, improve lifetime and reduce the environmental impact of CO2 capture.

Requisitos The successful candidate is required to have.
- PhD in one of the following disciplines.
chemical engineering, industrial engineering, energy engineering, chemistry or similar.
- Excellent laboratory skills, including synthesis and characterisation of CO2 capture materials (e.
., adsorbents with amino groups, zeolites, MOFs, inorganic oxides...).
- Experience with some analytical techniques related to CO2 capture.
thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), volumetric analysis, fixed or fluidised beds.
- Experience in analytical techniques for obtaining textural properties, mainly N2 and Ar physisorption.
- Demonstrated participation in an R&D project - Excellent oral and written skills in English.
- Commitment to open science in terms of research methods, data and publications - Ability to work in a diverse, flexible, academic, team-oriented and independent environment.
- Experience in collaborating with other colleagues in the same department, centre and externally.
- A track record of publications as first author and co-author is expected as the candidate should publish in leading journals in his/her field.
Monographic theses and conference publications will also be considered.
