If you're driven to build your career in a powerhouse reinsurance company and contribute to cultivating a new team, we encourage you to apply and embark on this exciting international journey.Your mission: Lead the Team of Underwriting Support across new or existing classes of business written, to ensure accurate risk assessment, record-keeping, and reporting.Key Responsibilities• Lead, develop, and inspire a team of 8 Underwriting Assistants located in the UK and Spain, fostering a culture of autonomy, proactivity, and data-driven decision-making. We project that you would be leading 15 people by year’s end.• Assist in the professional development of the team, and develop performance metrics.• Conduct employee performance reviews for Underwriting Assistants within the team.• Assist in establishing a consistent process for Underwriting Assistants and ensure its integration across Underwriting Teams.• Maintain and monitor the flow of work between underwriting teams and service providers.• Ensure timely and accurate resolution of items and issues.• Assist the team in performing their tasks when needed.Requirements• Excellent consultancy, communication, and influencing skills.• Demonstrable experience and skills in team leadership.• Demonstrable knowledge of insurance practices.• Commercial awareness, with a keen understanding of the insurance market and external factors influencing our business.• Excellent numeric, analytical, and written skills.• Effective prioritization and organizational abilities.• Professional level of English (C1 or above) & Spanish.What we offer• Permanent contract directly with the end client.• Salary: €60,000 – €65,000 fixed salary (Negotiable) + 10% performance bonus.• Health & life insurance + Pension plan.• Meal voucher of €14 per day + Wellbeing card with a 500 USD yearly balance for gym, flight tickets, Amazon expenses, etc.• 29 days of PTO + your birthday off.• Hybrid weekly setting: 3 days office / 2 days working from home.• Intensive schedule: Fridays, and July + August.
