SE DPS SF A Snapshot of Your Day As the Head of Software Factory your day-to-day activites will be focused on developing the future SE platform on (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS Layers) and automate and integrate the same into the diffrent App frameworks our software  partners and our BA's (business areas)  are working on.
You are in charge of selecting the right technologies for scaling with regard to frontend modularization, MicroSevrices integration from the various software teams inside SE.
Another field of activity is the proper modelling and realization of the Control Software Layer as well as end the end automation solutions from cloud to edge deployments.
The use of AI tools to improve the operations and the workflows is an addon.
How You’ll Make an Impact As the Head of Software Factory, you will play a critical role in establishing and building the new SE software factory from scratch.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing platform models and startegies which enables the BA to onboard and offer new digital products on top of the software factory.
You are also an expert in integrating existing software functionalities based on legacy technology stacks into the software factory approach.
You have worked successfully in the past in building software platforms from scratch and ideally also brought it into the market.
Beside your deep and brought technical skills you are acting like an technology entrepreneur to set the right priorities while developing the new SE software factory platform.
What You Bring   To be successful in this role, you will need a combination of skills, technical and platform experience, and personal attributes.
Qualifications include a Masters or PhD degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, with at least 15 years of experience in platform development ideally in a Top 10 software company.
You should have a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, platform market trends, and technical innovations, as well as experience managing high sophisticated technical teams and developing platform introduction model.
Personal attributes should include strong communication and technical leadership skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a passion for driving platform scaling in a big enterprise.
About the Team  In the central Digital Products and Solutions (DPS) organization we are responsible for developing software solutions for both internal and external customers.
In DPS our SW products cover already today a wide range of different categories, and we see many opportunities for growth.
Asset Performance Management, Energy Management, Asset Monitoring, Asset Health Prediction, Customer Portal & AI assisted Applications, Connectivity & Edge, Backend Core / Domain / Platform Services and Professional Services.
