GLOBAL HEAD INSURANCE RISK

Job SummaryA leading multinational company in the Aviation industry is looking for a "Global Head Insurance Risk" to be based in Madrid. Facilitate and develop the company's Insurance Risk Management, setting up and management of the various global insurance programs and renewals as well as providing day-to-day advice and support to the company's widespread global network of affiliates in connection with their risk management, insurance coverage and claims handling needs. Support the business and the company's Legal function in contract negotiations in respect to the company's liability position. Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibility for the management of the international programs within the company's insurance portfolio. Handling and support of the company's various local insurance programs including program renewals (renewal strategy, preparation of underwriting information, negotiations with placing brokers and insurance companies, implementation of renewed policies) as per insurance management policy.Management of insured claims and losses including liaising with the local entities and the respective claims handler and ensure control of their performance, Continuous monitoring of the insurance market; detect and adapt to changes and possible negative developments in respect of the terms and conditions offered by insurers.Continuously analyse the company's loss history and derive risk improvement measures from such analysis.Support risk assessments for projects and help identifying risk mitigation measures.Closely collaborate with the company's Quality, Health and Safety Function and the relevant front operations; assist in the development and implementation of loss control and loss prevention measures. Provide specific liability/indemnity/insurance related input in the company's contract negotiations (in collaboration with the Legal function).Qualifications and CompetenciesAt least 7 to 10 years of working experience in leading role within the insurance/risk management function of a large multinational company.Have a very good understanding of the major classes of insurance which are key for an internationally operating company.Highly advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Excel and Access databases. In depth understanding of insurance pricing & modelling In depth understanding of international insurance & accounting regulatory framework Detailed knowledge about the procurement and handling of international insurance programmes. Good understanding of liability/indemnity/insurance language in contracts and ability to participate in and support contract negotiations.Ability to work efficiently under time pressure.Excellent oral and written English skills is a must (corporate language) additional languages are an advantage.Experience in airline, ground handling or another industrial environment is a plus.If you are interested in the role, please submit your updated CV in English and we will assess your candidacy.Looking forward to hearing from you!
