ISGlobal is looking for a motivated GIS Technician to work on the ATHLETE (Advancing Tools for Human Early Lifecourse Exposome Research and Translation) project.
ATHLETE project has received funding from H (grant agreement ) and aims to implement the exposome in birth cohorts in order to study the effects of a wide range of community-level and individual-level environmental risk factors on mental, cardiometabolic, and respiratory health outcomes and associated biological pathways during the first 2 decades of life.
The GIS Technician will primarily work on combining questionnaire and GPS data to generate high accuracy micro-environment exposures for ATHLETE.
There may also be additional tasks as a part of the GIS team supporting ATHLETE.

Key Responsibilities Work on combining questionnaire and GPS data to generate high accuracy micro-environment exposures for ATHLETE.
Preparation of project drawings and related documents, maintaining technical files.
Prepare manuscript describing GPS work methodology for publication.
Additional responsibilities and/or duties as found relevant and necessary during the course of the project.

Training and experience / Qualifications Master in Environmental Sciences, Geographical Information Systems, Public Health, or other relevant subject.
At least 2 years of experience in GIS and child health research    Experience in processing and managment of complex data   Skills Fully proficient in the use of GIS systems including ArcGIS, Postgresql, Postgis, QGIS, Spatialite, SQlite, ENVI.
Fully proficient in the use of programming languages SQL, Python and R.
Responsible, flexible and with analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent organization and team-working skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Self-organized, self-motivated, able to work independently and remotely.

Language level Fluent English (level C1).
Spanish is not mandatory, but will be positively evaluated.

1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation.
To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be pass.
A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process.
