Global Digital Services is supporting BASF business in Digitalization transformation. Our mission is to drive forward the digital transformation of BASF, providing innovative, global and high-quality digital products and services through a strong agile culture. The Digital Hub Madrid is one of our global key locations to deliver regional and global solutions for BASF.

Within our Product Family Digital Commerce Advisor we help BASFs sales teams sell more efficiently via digital channels. Within our product family the team Product Information Systems (PIM) is building and supporting solutions that enable our customers to discover and explore our products in our several digital channels. About the Job: In this role, you will further develop our self-developed PIM system along with the connecting microservices which are connected to several digital channels for our customers. The developer is accountable for delivering end-to-end support to the PIM stakeholders to ensure the continuous functioning of the implemented solutions, plays a leading role in supporting and optimizing the PIM processes. Operates in a global environment, collaborating with international teams to design and implement sustainable digital solutions for our internal partners. In close cooperation with the product owners and the development team, you will further develop the applications described above in an agile working environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be working in an agile and self-organized way. You not only consider development of new applications but also operations and maintenance as a valuable part of your daily work
You are part of a dedicated team, which has built itself a platform to efficiently develop, maintain and enhance their delivered applications. Part of your daily job will be to drive the future development and innovation of this platform with regards to user requirement according to modern coding, security and tool standards.
Taking care of the smooth and secure integration of new services into the overall PIM landscape and existing backend systems will be in your responsibility.
Understand technical issues with end users, troubleshoot, and further replicate and resolve any technical issues related to operationalized solutions in the teams product portfolio
You will use your strong interpersonal skills to ensure quality internal customer service and collaborate effectively with a global development team using agile development methodologies and tools.
Use standardized BASF methods, tools and reports
Additional work aspects: strategic contribution to IT architecture and cross-process digitalization efforts

QUALIFICATIONS

- You have a degree or a comparable education in the field of computer and information science.
- Minimum 3+ years of work experience
- You have already acquired professional experience in an IT environment.
- Experience with Java
- Experience in Angular development
- Preferred experience with Cloud technologies (esp. Azure)
- Able to support team with the Operational Support strategy, planning, execution and operations management
- Strong in communication skills.
- Self-starter and able to work independently.
- Experience in Agile way of working or agile implementation approach
- Strong Digital mindset to accelerate BASF Digitalization transformation journey.
- Passion for programming in a team
- Analytical capabilities
- Experiences in working in global / virtual teams/projects
- An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to foster a positive and energized culture
- Additional preferred knowledge and experience in Application Support as Level 2 and/or Level 3 and also interested in operations and incidents management
- Fluent English skills
