Job description Qualified & Experienced English Teacher (Full time), hours We have a vacancy for a qualified and experienced English language teacher at a small, but rapidly growing, language school in Elche, Alicante.
The position would involve teaching small groups, mainly primary children and teens plus some adult conversation groups, one to one or online classes.
Hours.
Initial contract – teaching hours Afternoons Monday – Friday from 4.
, plus one or two mornings a week Option to teach additional hours including some one-to-one or online classes.
Responsibilities of the job.
Your main goal will be to create a supportive learning environment which will help your students meet their goals.
Through a range of  interesting and effective methods, you’ll teach them the appropriate skills and language to enable them to communicate effectively in English.
You’ll oversee their progress by tracking their class participation and assignments, in order to provide useful feedback.
- Provide learners with a rewarding and motivating English language learning experience which is both fun and effective.
- Plan, prepare and deliver high quality English lessons, course material and activities.
- Complete teaching related administrative tasks including a record of students’ attendance and grades - Assessing the students’ progress (e.

homework, exam grades, etc.) by assigning and reviewing weekly homework and practice exercises - Building trusting relationships with students, parents, and other team members.
- Provide constructive feedback based on language production with a variety of error correction techniques.

Applicants must fulfil the following criteria in order for their application to be considered.
The ideal candidate must enjoy working with children, bringing energy and enthusiasm to the role.
- Completed an accredited TEFL/CELTA course - Minimum 3 years experience in teaching English.
- Experience in teaching Cambridge exam courses up to B2 level.
- Be an EU national or have permission to work in Spain - Be native speakers of English or have a near native level of English and spent some time living in an English speaking country.
- Deep understanding of the English language requirements for different levels.
