What you’ll do This role is within the Digital VNO (Vodafone Network Operations) department, part of one of Vodafone’s most challenging initiatives.
The primary goal is to automate Network Operations processes as much as possible, thereby reducing human effort in repetitive tasks through error-free automations.
This includes designing web and mobile applications to enhance usability and minimize clicks for end users, with the support of data science, where applicable.
Our ambition is to leverage cutting-edge technologies to deliver the best products for our internal Network Operations customers.
The Digital Field and Innovation team focuses on deploying web and mobile applications to automate field and change management activities, experimenting with innovative approaches such as coding with the support of Gen AI and applying machine learning to maximize automation potential.
The IT Digital Architect Lead is responsible for providing strategic direction and overseeing the high-level system architecture for Digital and ZTO Team – Operational Tools Area.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring that our technology solutions align with organizational goals, are scalable, and maintain architectural integrity.
Define and maintain the high-level system architecture for Digital and ZTO Team – Operational Tools Area Collaborate with Solution Architects and development teams to ensure alignment with architectural principles Lead the evaluation of emerging technologies and their potential impact on the organization's architecture Drive innovation initiatives that enhance the architectural landscape while aligning with strategic objectives Provide guidance on architectural decisions, ensuring consistency, scalability, and security Foster a culture of architectural excellence and knowledge sharing Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into architectural solutions Conduct regular architectural reviews and audits to maintain architectural integrity Mentor and coach Solution Architects and development teams on architectural best practices Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in system architecture and technology Who you are Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field Proven experience (5+ years) as a System Architect or similar role with a track record of designing complex, scalable systems Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks and principles Proficiency in various system and software architecture tools and technologies Proven experience in coordinating resources to deploy IT/TELCO projects Knowledge of Network Operations processes Demonstrated expertise in designing solutions that include innovative technologies Solid technical background in coding and IT architectures Solid background with agile product development practices Ability to influence and negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders Confidence in interacting with challenging senior individuals across different parts of the organization Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and drive significant changes Strong communication and decision-making skills with the ability to mediate conflicting interests Not a perfect fit?
