DESIGN SYSTEM DESIGNER (UI DESIGNER)

Hello there! We’re  Vodafone Intelligent Solutions (also known as VO IS) and we’re looking for a     Design System Designer (UI Designer)       Your role in a nutshell.
Source is Vodafone's global design system.
a single source of truth aimed at driving design quality, consistency and speed across the entire Vodafone organisation.
Source is established in 14 markets and used by 500 designers and developers worldwide.
As a Senior Design System Designer (UI), you’ll be joining the Source Design System team at Vodafone.
You'll play a key role in creating and managing visual assets, components and content, providing support to the users, creating training materials, leading workshops and overall advocating for the product in various mediums.
You will define standards, champion consistency, and work closely with developers to build, maintain and evolve the design system.
Our Source Design System is rapidly changing, and you will be an integral part of that evolution.
You’ll need to share our passion for creating scalable design frameworks that harness a culture of collaboration and consistency.
What you’ll do.
Cross-functional collaboration.
You'll work at the intersection of design, engineering, and accessibility.
You will work closely with designers, developers and Brand experts.
Define standards.
Work closely with various design teams to define, design and evolve high-level design patterns, UI kits and guidelines.
Empower designers.
Be the go-to person making it easier for teams to create great experiences faster—with quality and consistency.
Drive excellence.
Champion consistency, a high degree of UI craft, and a collaborative mindset.
Facilitate regular workshops for alignment and governance of design work.
Technical implementation.
Work closely with developers to build, maintain and evolve the design system in code.
What you’ll bring to the team.
Fluent English (this is crucial as your direct team members and business partners are going to be from the UK) - additional language knowledge is a plus, targeting markets with a lower rate of English speakers Experience in designing and deploying design systems at scale.
Expert-level knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (familiar with the latest Figma tool features and design system best practices) Skilled in the production of a wide range of design assets to form part of a wider design system framework.
Confident presenting concepts to colleagues and stakeholders.
A broad range of skills covering the end-to-end design process.
interaction design, visual design and prototyping.
Pixel-perfect design standards Good understanding of accessibility and usability (WCAG) - has experience in adhering to AA and AAA requirements Has experience in managing/owning areas tightly connected to the Brand, ensuring consistency across print and digital (e.

iconography, colour treatment, illustrations, etc.) Has experience in defining style guides and creating identity playbooks/guidelines documents.
