What you’ll do The IT Development Specialist focuses upon the development of applications / products in line with the technology roadmap and standards.
The IT Development Specialist delivers development of programme logic for new applications / products or analysis and modification of logic in existing applications (activities may also include elements of technical testing).
Typically reports to the Senior IT Development Manager of the Head of Technology.
Job Description SAP ABAP Desired Skills & Experience Proficient in SAP ABAP programming, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems, proficiency in ABAP object-oriented programming.
Core ABAP     Reports – ALV, classical, interactive     Interfaces--  ALE, IDOC, Proxy     Conversions – BAPI, BDC     Enhancements – User exits, BADI, implicit & explicit enhancements      Forms – ADOBE, Smartforms     Object Oriented Programming (OOPs) ABAP on HANA      OData protocol      Code compatibility correctionsAdded Advantage of having below skills.
BAP CDS (Core Data Services)     AMDP     IDA (Integrated data access)     CDS Extensions     Implementation project experience for S/4 HANA     SAP UI5/FIORI      SAP PI / CPI      Redwood Robotics     API Management     Machine Learning Experience in ABAP development in SAP FICO, SCM, HR modules  •    Experience in complex problem solving  using expert troubleshooting and debugging techniques Roles & Responsibilities Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle •    Write well designed code, efficient coding, testing and fine tuning •    Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications •    Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review •    Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
