Role specific Role purpose.
Group Finance Operations is a vertical function across all Vodafone markets and is the operational heart that is accountable for the delivery of the financial actuals across Vodafone.
Your role is to set and drive the data agenda of the APA & ICO processes, being a full time member of the community of practice.
In doing so you will need to understand and own the finance and especially APA & ICO process data environment in alignment with internal and external business customers by collaborating and parterning with the wider FinOps team, about 20 Local Markets and our Shared Services colleagues.
Futhermore you will work with your peers in the community in analysing and understanding APA & ICO process performance, issues and improvement opportunities.
As much as any process improvement has an impact on data or requires changes to our data structures etc.
you will support those projects to enable and drive process improvements in relation.
Your contribution will be vital in achieving our mid to long term strategy of becoming a data driven organisation in terms of decision making and process steering.
Accordingly you will support the Community lead in preparing and taking data driven decisions.
The agenda that you will be responsible for will also include data analytics, definition and implementation of data governance, standardization of data across all FinOps markets.
For all of this, you will need to create an understanding of the data business needs for today and tomorrow.
This will go in line with the implementation of short to longer term data and process targets of VF Group Finance Operations which is aimed at enabling efficiencies in the APA & ICO process landscape.
Across the FOMA organization you will grow customer satisfaction by industrialising existing, and constantly evolving, market leading detective and preventive systems, data- anlysis and mining in Finance and cross-functional.
In doing so you will establish effective key user structures, train colleagues as appropriate and ensure existing tools are used to establish an effective data management, enabling market leading evolutions, including KPIs, systems and decisions based on your data expertise.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership.
Set and drive the data agenda for APA & ICO Processes, becoming data driven in decision making.
Key responsibilities and skills • Understand, own and improve data structures relevant to the APA & ICO processes.
• Collaborate with and influence relevant stakeholders to achieve and take balanced decisions with regards to data architecture, data bases, applications and content.
• Maintain solid relationships with the different stakeholders, acting on behalf of the CoP lead as required to initiate and maintain long term data dialogue, visioning and planning.
• Derive the data agenda and build a data improvement roadmap leading towards more data driven decision making in APA & ICO Processes  Ensure greater data analytics capabilities and data usage across the FinOps organisation.
• Understand own and improve tools and applications available for data analytics within FinOps APA & ICO Processes.
• Improve tool usage through effective key user selection, training and support  • Build and maintain analytics and story telling capabilities across the markets  Identify and implement process improvements.
• Work with the community of practice members structuring and implementing data analytics to identify process issues  • Be up to date with latest innovations concerning data management and evaluate possible use cases for APA & ICO Processes  • Manage stakeholders to improve data structures and content as required for improving, standardizing and automating processes  Core competencies, knowledge and experience.
• Strong expertise in Finance operating models and E2E operating processes  • Strong project & change management skills, proven capability to structure and deliver complex process improvements  • Knowledgeable of VF system landscape, IT background would be helpful • IT literate and knowledgeable of data structures and relations, ideally basic programming knowledge  • Excellent communication skills; transparent and open nature  • Proven ability and experience in dealing with and influencing multiple stakeholders on senior level  Must have technical / professional qualifications.
• 10+ years of working experience in Finance and a minimum of 5 years in Vodafone  • University degree, preferably with some exposure to Data management courses, CA/CWA will be added advantage  • High level of Leadership skills with an ability to manage a team in a diverse geographical locations  • Very strong cooperation, coordination, communication and presentation skills  • Deep knowledge and understanding of operational finance processes, finance operating models  • Project management  • Analytical-minded,  innovative, adaptable, team player and leader  • Willingness to travel globally (minimum 40%)  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English  VOIS Equal Opportunity Employer Commitment India.
