CORPORATE TOUR OPERATIONS - SALES MANAGER (BASED IN MADRID OR THE CANARY ISLANDS)WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are working for an expanding hospitality group, dedicated to providing exceptional experiences in the travel industry, primarily focused on hotels but with a diversified portfolio, who are looking for a brand-new position:Corporate Tour Operations - Sales Manager This role is crucial for the group’s continued success in the vacation sector, particularly in the Canary Islands, and it will be based preferably either in Gran Canaria or Tenerife or Madrid. This group is expanding (and will keep growing strong) in 2 of the main Spanish markets where TT.OO. becomes crucial: Canary and Balearic Islands. They have opened hotels as well as other assets in these locations, and they will keep growing. Therefore, we are in the looks of a Corporate Tour Operators Sales Manager, who will have to develop and expand this market, with special focus in the holidays segment and targeting mainly the Canary Islands. However, not exclusively. This company is expanding not only in the islands, but both nationally and internationally across different regions and sectors, so the role is really fun and the more diversified experience the final candidate has about tour operations (including urban, and not exclusively the islands regions), the better. So, if what you’re reading so far is something that you’re good at, you want to be a crucial asset in the tour operations market for a rapidly growing hospitality group, and you’re looking for a job based in Madrid or the Canary Islands, keep reading 😉  WHAT WILL THIS GROUP EXPECT FROM YOU WHEN YOU JOIN? We are looking for a very active, commercial role, with the ability to develop contacts autonomously inside different tour operators (as we said, mainly in the Canary Islands, and in the holidays segment, but not exclusively). Therefore, once you join this company, and reporting directly to the Director of Sales of the group, you will: • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives in the tour operations market for the company.• Cultivate and implement strong relationships with key tour operators, ensuring successful negotiation and closing mainly vacation packages.• Lead the sales process from initial contact through to agreement, with a focus on maximizing revenue and profitability.• Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and trends within the vacation market, with a particular focus on the Canary Islands.• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales activities, results, and market conditions for the TT.OO. segment.• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance our presence and brand recognition. This is a good summary of the main things you will need to do well in this position, but we’re sure there will be more, that’s why we need someone proactive and autonomous.But we will explain better here below what you need to be a good fit, so if you’re passionate about this, keep on!  HOW WILL YOU KNOW THAT YOU FIT IN THE POSITION AND THE GROUP? You will fit in this position if you have: • In-depth knowledge of the tour operation landscape in the Canary Islands. Experience in the Balearic Islands is a strong plus, and as stated previously, experience working for other regions will be strongly considered too.• A strong background in negotiating vacation packages with tour operators.• A proven track record of at least 5 years in corporate sales within the tour operations industry, with significant experience in the leisure market.
