COMMISSIONING PROJECT MANAGER

Trane Key Accounts is building a best-in-class Mission Critical organization and is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Project Manager.
The Commissioning Project Manager will be accountable for successful end-to-end Commissioning processes to satisfy contract and customer project requirements.
This role will serve Mission Critical Key Account customers.
As part of a multi-function team and will be responsible to plan, coordinate, and execute site-specific Commissioning activities.
This role is Remote and will require travel to manufacturing facilities as well as customer project locations.
Responsibilities.
·         Directly manages and oversees site commissioning activities including Level 1 - Level 5 testing.
·         Serve as subject matter expert on commissioning standard work process as part of the Mission Critical Solutions organization.
·         Manage and update commissioning standard work processes and documentation.
Act as a resource for other team members and regional teams in all facets of the work including planning, documentation, risk analysis, and risk mitigation.
·         Understands customer project commissioning requirements and expectations by reviewing all provided commissioning manuals and through active discussions with the customer project team.
Aligns project delivery to    customer needs.
Performs regular risk management and needed risk mitigation to ensure high levels of commissioning operational performance.
·         Participate in pre-installation readiness plans with project teams, communicate expectations and scope.
May include design reviews of mechanical, and electrical plans, and specifications.
·         Review factory testing scope including pre-calls with design engineering, testing facilities, scope review.
Attend and document factory testing where applicable.
·         Creates project specific commissioning plan, as well as coordinates pre-commissioning activities.
·         Create and maintain project commissioning schedules generating task, dependencies, milestones, critical path, resource assignments, identify future looking planning needs and resource constraints, communication of project    progress.
·         Initiate scope and labor request with local service providers.
Ensure correct level of technical knowledge in all project resources and coordinate product and project specific training where required.
Ensure adequate onsite labor is allocated to complete scope as part of the larger construction team.
·         Establish strong relationship with Customer Operation’s team and introduce Mission Critical Service Account manager to capture Day2 opportunities.
·         Ensure all customer-required and Trane standard commission checklists, logs and documentation is completed and shared with the appropriate parties.
·         Visit project site during impactful commissioning activities as needed to ensure customer expectations are met.
·         Responsible for effective daily communication with the customer and internal project team to ensure that the project progress schedule is maintained.
Document impediments to progress and communicate clearly gaps and    proposed solutions.
·         Owns the project punch list documentation and coordination with all trades through final completion.
·         Where applicable oversees customer training plans, facilitate training as needed.
·         Ensure the local site servicing provider / Regional services team is prepared for long term support of the customer’s foreseeable needs for system maintenance, spare parts.
·         Create and follow risk mitigation plans for entire end-to-end commissioning process as relates to the project scope in either new construction or retrofit projects.
·         Build and maintain strong relationships with all involved parties both internal, client based and external project teams.
·         Actively provide input and participate in project postmortem reviews and Lean improvement processes.
Lead pilot improvement projects for commissioning work scope.
·         Pursues technical and industry knowledge, eagerly coaches across the organization.
·         Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends.
Travel up to 50% to customer and project site locations.
Qualifications.
·         Prior experience with Data Center, High Tech, or similar commissioning process highly preferred.
·         HVAC, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Construction Project Management Degree.
·         Combination of degree or 7-10 years’ experience.
·         Applied HVAC and chiller technical experience highly desirable.
·         Knowledgeable on construction systems and technologies.
·         Must demonstrate strong leadership skills, ability to mentor others, aptitude to influence without authority, organizational expertise, strong verbal, and written communication skills.
Annual Base Pay Range - $     Disclaimer.
This pay range is based on national averages.
Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan.
