Your MissionAs a COBOL Software Developer, you will play a key role in maintaining and evolving core global applications used by thousands of professionals around the world. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. What You’ll DoDevelop and maintain scalable COBOL applications to support the company’s product ecosystem.Collaborate with global development teams to design, implement, and enhance features.Participate in peer code reviews and promote best practices in software development.Troubleshoot and resolve application issues to ensure performance and reliability.Stay up to date with new technologies and methodologies relevant to software engineering.✅ What You’ll BringBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.6+ years of hands-on experience in COBOL programming (COBOL-85), including both batch and online programs.Proven ability to debug and resolve COBOL application issues using tools such as Xpediter or Abend-AID.Experience supporting production systems and troubleshooting technical incidents.Desirable: Experience with MicroFocus Net Express 3, Microsoft Visual Basic, or C language.Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and working within Agile teams.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, development workflows, and automation.Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design and Microservice architectures.Experience working with SQL Server, NoSQL, and/or Oracle databases.Understanding of API design, Business-Driven Design, and Test-Driven Development.Background in performance optimization and application security.Experience developing middleware applications and working in PaaS environments is a plus.
