CAD PROJECT ENGINEER

As a member of the IDIADA Group Body & Passive Safety division you will be part of the Body Design team being directly involved in engineering development projects for global automotive clients.
Main Responsibilities Reporting to the Body Design Managers you will be responsible for.
Leading the product development of automotive parts Creating and managing 3D CAD models and 2D drawings Developing customer-oriented solutions for the automotive industry Key Functions Project Execution and Dynamic Management.
Apply your technical knowledge and extensive experience to efficiently manage assigned projects Client-Organization Interface.
Act as a strategic point of contact between the external client and our organization Technical Requirements Fulfillment.
Ensure all deliverables meet client standards and specifications Corporate Goals Contribution.
Support the consolidation and achievement of assigned objectives in terms of growth competitiveness and profitability Professional Opportunity This position represents a unique and challenging opportunity to be an integral part of highly relevant projects from the early stages through to the start of production participating in all critical development milestones.
Qualifications.
Professional Qualifications and Requirements Education & Experience Bachelors degree  in  Mechanical Engineering   Design or  Automotive Engineering  specialization Vocational training  or equivalent demonstrated practical experience accepted Minimum 5 years of experience  as a designer with proven  CATIA v5 proficiency  (mandatory) Language Skills Advanced proficiency in English is required Knowledge of local languages is highly valued Proficiency in additional languages will be considered an asset Professional Competencies Strong customer orientation  with the ability to accurately assess and respond to client needs Technical leadership capabilities  for effectively leading and participating in technical meetings Flexibility for travel and temporary relocation  to other countries when project requirements demand it Team collaboration skills  with demonstrated leadership in dynamic and multicultural work environments Technical Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Automotive field Proficiency in CATIA v5  and experience working in automotive-related projects Extensive experience in automotive components development including.
Interior and Exterior Trims parts Body-in-White (BiW) structures Closures systems Carbon Fiber parts Experience in design with sustainable materials will be considered an asset Experience conducting technical feasibility studies 3D/2D parts modeling and technical documentation Knowledge of automotive industry standards and regulations Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Experience collaborating with parts suppliers moldflow or stamping simulations will be considered an asset Additional Information.
