ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR SOFTWARE APPLICATION ENGINEER RDU IT - DIGITAL WEB PLATFORMS

Accountabilities.
The individual must be an exceptionally strong collaborator, who will work to become a trusted partner to business and IT colleagues by providing strategic thinking with tactical execution.
The Sr Software Applications Engineer for RDU IT Digital Web Platforms will work with digital engagement partners, business partners, project manager, and technical organization as a primary point of contact to align internal client needs, requirements, and expectations with technical development and delivery of the solutions.
- Oversee the entire development life cycle of solutions, managing complex projects with significant impact.
- Collaborate with product managers and platform owners to develop strategies for web development and technologies.
- Work closely with senior engineers to design and develop new products.
- Instill best practices for software development and documentation.
- Manage project prioritization, planning, stakeholder management, and external commitments.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and lead engineering efforts.
- Ensure operational excellence in monitoring, support, and operation of services.
- Lead junior and senior team members.
- Collaborate with agencies and cross-functional IT partners to define technical and business requirements.
- Manage the development and delivery of digital projects (Platform, websites and applications) including enablement of new capabilities, SLDC delivery processes and procedures for Digital Delivery team, including Change Reviews and Approval for digital delivery team .
- Coordinate and assign team priorities for digital development and provide help to manage outages and incidents to completion, including root cause analysis, while  grow Digital DevSecOps activities for dev team.
- Educate technical teams on development capabilities, particularly Sitecore websites.
- Drive vendor management to align application portfolio with business priorities.
Essential Skills/Experience.
- Experience with Sitecore and web development in high availability environments, CMS Architecture and Design, Common API Classes, Security Model, ASP.
ET MVC framework, jQuery JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5 are a must.
- Experience leading onshore, nearshore, and offshore development teams using DevSecOps best practices.
- Experience designing, developing, and delivering digital assets to support corporate, marketing, and commercial plans.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplined, multi-functional matrix organization.
- Estimation/sizing, Change Order/SOW contracting experience with successful outcomes in technical and business arenas.
- 2+ years of experience in an IT management role (Leading people).
- Ability to travel up to 20% in foreign and domestic travel will be required for this role.
Desirable Skills/Experience.
- Full stack web development skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technologies or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working in Biotech or Pharmaceutical preferred.
- Development knowledge of Data Templates, Renderings, and Content items with configurable/reusable components.
- Development knowledge of setting up Content Delivery and Management environments (CD/CM) for live and testing websites, especially with Sitecore.
- Excellent at informal leadership, networking, and communication.
