Assistant Vice President, Credit Ratings, Mid Market Issuers Morningstar DBRS - Assistant Vice President, Private Credit Ratings (Madrid or Frankfurt) Morningstar DBRS' Private Corporate Credit team is seeking a highly motivated and analytical professional with four to six years of experience in credit analysis, preferably with high-yield corporate issuers.
As an Assistant Vice President, you will play a key role in assessing the creditworthiness of small to medium-sized, highly leveraged companies across diverse industries.

This role is based in our Madrid or Frankfurt office, with a hybrid work arrangement (minimum three days per week in-office).
Responsibilities.
• Lead the surveillance of a portfolio of small to medium-sized, highly leveraged companies • Conduct fundamental credit analysis, and prepare high-impact rating committee packages • Lead dynamic rating committee discussions and communicate credit views • Build trusted relationships with market participants, including lenders, investors, and bankers • Manage a diverse portfolio, ensuring timely and high-quality credit opinions • Support continuous process improvement and database development • Deliver timely and insightful written credit research Qualifications.
• Four to six five years of experience in credit analysis, corporate lending, or related fields • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related discipline (CFA designation preferred) • Strong foundation in credit analysis and capital markets, ideally with exposure to high-yield or middle-market credits • Familiarity with legal documentation tied to corporate debt and loan issuance • Exceptional analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial statements • Excellent communication and presentation abilities About Us Morningstar DBRS is a leading provider of independent rating services and opinions for corporate and sovereign entities, financial institutions, and project and structured finance instruments globally.
