Mission and responsibilities.
Design, develop and maintain business applications using the Appian platform.
Create and manage processes, interfaces and business rules in Appian.
Model and optimise SQL databases, including the creation of stored procedures, views and complex queries.
Identify and resolve performance issues in applications and databases.
Design and expose API services using Appian Web APIs for integrations with external systems.
Develop and run load tests using tools such as Locust to ensure scalability and performance of applications.
Use tools such as Postman (or similar) to test and document APIs.
Manage database versions using tools such as Flyway.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the quality and scalability of solutions.
Document technical solutions and processes developed.
Work with Git and GitHub for source code management and team collaboration.
To be succesful in the role you must have.
Demonstrable experience in development with the Appian platform (minimum 2-3 years).
Advanced knowledge of SQL databases, including data modelling, creation of stored procedures, views and query optimisation.
Experience in identifying and resolving performance issues in applications and databases.
Experience exposing API services using Appian's Web APIs.
Experience developing and running load tests with tools such as Locust.
Working knowledge of tools such as Postman (or similar) for API testing.
Experience working with version control systems such as Git and platforms such as GitHub.
Familiarity with database version management tools such as Flyway.
Ability to work in a team and collaborate with different areas of the organisation.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to document technical solutions clearly and accurately.
