As Global Procurement Lead for Blendhub S.L., and reporting to the COO, I worked on a project (1 year fixed term) which objective was to adapt and transform the Purchasing & Procurement departments under the needs from the new business model that the company was implementing, achieving:
- The transformation and optimization from the Global Procurement (Spain, India, Mexico, Colombia) and Spain Regional Purchasing department operations.
- Establishment of new objectives, mission and vision, policies, processes, control documents, KPIs and MBOs aligned with the new company goals and operations.
- Improve raw materials purchasing planning (Spain Plant), ensuring coverage and reducing inventories cost.
- Improve outsourced warehousing services contractual arrangements.
- Successful raw materials volume negotiations and supplier partnership to leverage regional volumes for Latin America operations (Mexico and Colombia).
Replication Mode for new plant deployments:
- Develop and implement the Purchase/Procurement Master Database for new plant deployments and start of operations such as laboratory equipment furniture and consumables, staff food grade apparel and equipment, office furniture, packing materials, office supplies, IT and telecom equipment, MRO and facilities equipment and consumables, marketing and corporate image printed material.
New Plants deployments:
- Successful deployment and start of operations of a new plant in Bogota, Colombia.

Lead and supervise procurement team operations (7 staff members).

- 100% objectives achievement for the Expansion Project (New Call Center, Corporate Offices Expansion / Value: USD$6M).

Responsible to manage multiple diverse and complex IT procurement projects in order to provide the most profitable integrated solutions to the customers, achieving:
- Fully execute and negotiate over 250 high complexity global contracts (Scope: North America, Central America, and South America).
- Manage multiple cost reductions projects, boost, and kick-start the saving program inside the working area/category achieving total individual saving contributions for over USD $1.8 M.

Senior Buyer
Assigned to plan and coordinate the purchase of high cost and long lead time materials ensuring the on time delivery and availability to manufacture mobile cell phones for Research in Motion (Blackberry), key responsible to support to regain control over materials on high risk of shortage managed by other team members, achieving zero shortages over the managed materials, reducing the purchase price variance (PPVs) in a 90%.

Supply Chain Analyst
Assigned to develop solutions over the supply chain disruptions analyzing root causes and identifying opportunity areas, monitor contract compliance and performance from carriers and other logistics service providers, improve the stock management analyzing the movement of goods through the supply pipeline achieving a to reduce the total cost acquisition over 12%, stock liability improvement reducing the stock levels over 45% implementing new supply systems and procedures, reducing inventory turns over 133% and participating actively in the successful implementation of an external HUB.

Buyer responsible of the purchasing of raw materials for new projects introduction for the manufacturing of car radiators, exhaust systems, air-conditioning systems and heat exchange systems, contribute into increase the profitability of the projects, driving the new suppliers introduction, foster the suppliers development, participating in annual cost reductions programs achieving a yearly USD$1M savings/cost reduction on raw materials and 10% cost reduction on inbound transportation, ensure the availability of raw materials through capacity negotiations, recovery plans and expediting raw materials deliveries.
