JUNIOR PAYROLL SPECIALIST - NETHERLANDS

We are looking for a very good Dutch and English speaker located in Europe.Role & Responsibilities:1.      Learn and support the management of the end-to-end payroll cycle - ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll data, including gathering, calculating, inputting, and validating information2.      Handle necessary payroll documentation3.      Support the Dutch and Belgian payroll specialist, including being in close contact with the local authorities to work on the required paperwork, handle all relevant filings and registrations for social security, tax authorities, and other statutory requirements4.      Support to ensure compliance with local statutory processing, including monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings - This involves obtaining relevant documentation from staff, computing tax processing, and producing required reports/forms for filing to tax authorities and employees5.      Maintain and update employee data accurately in the payroll database6.      Generate and distribute payslips promptly to all staff members7.      Address employee inquiries related to wages, deductions, attendance, and time records8.      Stay up-to-date with exemptions or status changes and handle them efficiently9.      Support to comply with payroll policies, procedures, and relevant laws, ensuring compliance10.   Help to investigate and resolve discrepancies in all payroll-related tasks11.   Maintain strict confidentiality of employees' pay records12.   Prepare and complete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review13.   Provide support to HR operations in the country14.   Stay informed about the latest HR and payroll trends and regulatory changes, communicating relevant updates to the teams15.   Collaborate with the Payroll Specialists, ensuring that payroll calculations are correctly and timely processed16.   Assist in other ad hoc projects as requestedRequirements1.      You may have a background in payroll processing, including user knowledge of payroll software (appreciated but not mandatory)2.      You love learning new things, you enjoy taking initiative, and you do not shy away from a challenge 3.      Meticulous, with strong numerical skills (good with numbers). Detail-oriented, with the capability to handle complex tasks.4.      Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are necessary for building relationships with stakeholders, clients, partners, and team members5.      Strong strategic planning and analytical skills6.      Ability to work in dynamic environments with changing priorities7.      Self-motivated, trustworthy, and able to work independently to tight deadlines8.      Open to flexibility and positive approach towards change9.      Flexibility in managing multiple tasks and priorities10.   Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel)11.   Fluent or very good language knowledge in English and Dutch (at least B2).
