I am a professional English Tutor and hold a CELTA qualification. I teach both online and in person. My lessons are bespoke and tailored to your interests and needs, so no boring text books! Just learning material that will engage you and make the whole thing lots of fun. I specialise in preparation for IELTS examination and business English, but am experienced in the whole range of English teaching. Education
I hold a BSc from The University of Adelaide, Australia.
I also hold a CELTA (Certificate of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)

Experience / Qualifications
I have been teaching English in a variety of ways, so you can be sure your lessons will be well-planned and rigorous. I have been teaching both classes of 3 to 16 students at a time as well as one-to-one tuition via Skype and in person.

I recently completed the CELTA certificate and for the past several months have been tutoring English to a 7yo and an adult of Chinese background, from a beginner to intermediate levels. Under the critique of CELTA tutors I have designed lessons for two diverse groups of students, targeting receptive and productive skills, a variety of language systems, and pronunciation. I can help learners improve their language, skills, and pronunciation using a variety of materials and methods.

My 25 years of experience as a product developer has provided invaluable experiences in the field of language studies. I know well the feeling of helplessness that comes with not knowing your town’s native language, and I have studied many languages on an elementary level. I am constantly using my own language studies as references for my teaching. It is the people, however, who truly drive me to teach. With clients in both China and Europe, I believe that my global  and diverse experience, along with language expertise, would enable me to effectively reach the students with my passion for language and, through creative and dedicated instruction, help them achieve their goals.
