Clariba, recognised as one of the leading SAP partners in EMEA, is an independent, expert consultancy that provides industry-focused solutions for enterprise performance management, business intelligence and organisational alignment. We have an immediate opening for a BI Project Manager to join our Madrid, Spain team to work with one of our important customers in Madrid. The Project Manager is responsible for managing medium to high complexity BI projects, which includes overseeing entire project life cycle (initiation, planning, execution, controlling and closing) for large enterprise customers. The PM also supervises a team of employees in the project team and is responsible for delegating tasks, providing guidance to team members and monitoring employee progress and performance to ensure that customer milestones are achieved as expected. The PM also connects with the Line Manager for each employee to discuss performance and progress. The individual in this role is also responsible for monitoring the profitability of assigned projects and proactively and regularly reporting on status and actions with the customer and Regional Operations Manager. The individual at this level must have strong Project Management skills, a strong technical background, leadership skills and a commitment to results. Key Accountabilities: - Manage the entire project lifecycle (following IPECC project management model); create complete project plans and schedules using MS Project - Coordinate the BI services and delivery with the customer project management team - Distribute and assign tasks and workloads to the Clariba team members in multiple locations (Barcelona and Madrid) and coordinate on-site/off-site matrix and scheduling - Provide hands-on technical development or guidance during difficult assignments or tight deadlines and train/mentor new or junior team members to enter the project with minimum impact - Utilize expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met - Manage the project documentation and acceptance process - Coordinate regular interaction with the users, analysis of needs and necessary follow up - Communicate the status of the project and tasks of the project on a weekly/daily basis according to the requirements of the current tasks - Proactively identify solutions to help manage customer expectations to avoid scope creep - Follow up with Clariba Senior Project Manager/Regional Manager for weekly status and any escalations - Manage project closure including providing postmortem reports, employee skill and project updates, PPS scores and profitability measures Experience and Knowledge: University degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering or similar studies 6+ years of Business Intelligence consultancy experience (preferably on projects with SAP BusinessObjects, Data Services, BW or similar BI tools) Proven BI Project Management experience (medium to large projects) Studying towards PMP or Prince2 or similar PM studies or professional affiliation is a plus Project Management Certification is a plus Experience in Enterprise Performance solutions is a plus Experience in ETL (Extract Transform and Load) definition and database architecture is a plus Required Competencies: Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities; Ability to work under pressure Excellent analytical skills, problem determination and resolution processes Excellent Oral and Written Communication skills, especially with on-site and off-site teams and within a matrix environment Self-motivated leader with excellent time management Flexible and Professional Excellent organizational skills Excellent interpersonal skills; team player Fluency in Spanish written and spoken Advanced English written and spoken
