About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Outlet Manager position to join our Food & Beverage Service Department in Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • To ensure the smooth running of the Room service department, courteous and effective manner to the Jumeirah International standards of service while maintaining the restaurant profitability.
  • Instructs colleagues on specific safe work practices (e.g. use of proper footwear, cleaning up after spills).
  • To quickly assess guests needs and flexes styles appropriately.
  • Projects a positive, professional and friendly image to the guests and colleagues.
  • Coordinates resources for “special events”.
  • Coordinates with Chef and F&B Director methods for controlling wastages.
  • Schedules colleagues in accordance with labour standards and business levels and appropriately control labour costs.
  • Instructs colleagues on proper equipment storage and handling to minimize breakage of china and glass and misuse of linen and silverware.
  • To ensure that the Department operational budget is strictly adhered to, that all costs are controlled, and expenditure approved.

About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Qualification

  • Basic Food and Hygiene Training
  • Previous Management Courses and Training Experience

Experience

  • Previous supervisory experience in a similar type of establishment
  • Understanding of Mallorca’s Restaurants scene

Skills

  • Excellent level of English
  • Friendly, approachable and professional
  • Demonstrates excellent supervisory and leadership skill
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Works well under pressure
  • Demonstrates flexibility in working according to the needs of the business
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Knowledge of Open Table System
