1. Introductory letter
Dear Sir/Madam,

 My name  is Anders Paradis, experienced English  teacher,   and I  am  teaching  English  on  skype and I live in  Benicassim close  to Castellón  de la Plana, Spain (2017). Last year (2016) I worked in  Ubrique, Spain with  adults,  teenagers and  kids (PET, FCE, CAE) preparing  Cambridge exams and  earlier  Trinity exams.. In 2015 I was in Sweden repairing  and  rebuilding  my  house. 

Between 2014 and 2011 I worked in  Bogotá Colombia in  various  companies  with  executives according to  their  needs ( one to  one  and  in  groups, different  levels) and  also with private  students teaching English to children  and  their  parents. In  2010-2009  I  worked  in  Barbosa, Colombia for  the  mayor,  teaching executives at  the  town hall  and  giving   further  training  to English teachers  at  different  schools (grammar, pronunciation, conversation, speaking, listening, reading, comprehension and writing) and translated documents and projects into English and from English into Spanish.
 
In  2008 I  worked  in  Getafe Madrid in  international  companies also with  executives  and  their  co-workers (all levels from  A1 to C1). Before  that I  worked  in  various   schools in Sweden teaching  English, Spanish, Swedish  and  French to teenagers. 
In 2006-2005 I worked  as Academic  director  and an English teacher at  an  academy in  Medellín, Colombia. I  have  also  worked in Montevideo Uruguay with  grown-ups (the Anglo School) and  in  Russia with  kids  and  teenagers. In  2003  I  worked  as  an  English  teacher  in Barrranquilla, Colombia at  the  Colombo Americano.
In 2002  I was working with streets kids in Bucaramanga, Colombia (also giving English classes). Earlier, as an  English student  at  the  University  of Stockholm, Sweden my English professor chose  me  to  give a  summer course at  this  university to grown-ups. As a Swedish citizen I can work in any European country. I already  have  my NIE, social  security and  a Spanish  bank account. 

 Since I have worked at many institutes I am well acquainted with different English text books and exams (Michigan, Melicet, TOEFL, IELTA, Cambridge, Trinity, Business English and others) and I have also a lot of experience working with classes of teenagers and  kids (games, songs etc.). 

As a graduate TEFL English teacher with a university teaching
diploma and with many years of university studies I have a lot of teaching experience (25 years). I have a Bachelor`s degree in Pedagogy (a teacher´s degree)/TEFL English/Spanish/Theology (including more than 50 hours of observed and evaluated classes of my teaching in class in regular schools). In the Melicet test I scored 98/100. I have also acquired the well-known TEFL CELTA diploma from the University of Cambridge, England.
I am a Swedish citizen and as I have studied and spoken English all my life and lived some years in the USA, I speak and write English as a native American with an American accent (native proficiency). This is what English natives tell me all the time. 

I am very much interested in working with you full time. I am looking for a position as an English (and/or Spanish) teacher/academic director at any level for a longer period, a year or more. PRESENTATION:
Those who know me say that I am a cheerful, positive and humorous person who
smiles very often. I am open-minded, hard-working, pragmatic, flexible and
always prepared to collaborate and find solutions to problems. I love working with
children, teenagers as well as with adults and know how to adapt to the level where
they are and take a real interest in their progress. I study continuously and I like to
be well-prepared and have a lot of books around me. My health is excellent and I
have no criminal record whatsoever. I like physical and practical work as well. I
have a Christian concept of life. As regards teaching I think that it is important to
take an interest in the individual student and encourage him. I believe in a
combination of hard work, amusement and relaxing entertaining tasks. I have a
car so I can get around easily.

It is crucial to practise and speak the language (communicative
approach/pronunciation) but also to have a certain command of writing and
grammar and reading and listening comprehension. According to the Academic
Director of the Colombo Americano Barranquilla. “Mr. Paradis has adapted
himself to his new environment without any problems. So far he has fulfilled all
his duties because of his hard work.” And according to an observational report of
my classes done by a teacher of the institute, Wilfrido Segrera made the following
comments: WORK: Excellent; very dynamic. RAPPORT: Excellent! FEEDBACK:Excellent classes.
 The evaluation of my classes by my students at the Anglo,
Montevideo contained similar words of praise and also at my position in
other  places. In Colombia the students preferred me among the teachers and my
students recommend me to other students.. At my work teachers as well as
students are very content with my teaching and they learn fast and progress.
I have been teaching teaching teenagers, teachers and professional people. I

Mi nombre es Alfredo Gil Guzmán, y me desempeñé como Director Comercial en
Universal Language Academy, durante el tiempo que el maestro Anders Paradis
estuvo vinculado a esta institución. (Efectivamente fui yo quien hizo el primer
contacto con el señor Paradis a través de internet, Luego tuvimos varias videoconferencias).
Considero que hablarle de las calidades académicas del señor Paradis, seria
redundante, puesto que sus títulos y sus diplomas son muy dicientes por ellos
mismos.
Quiero pues, hablarle de Anders Paradis como persona y como profesor según mi
experiencia personal, pues yo mismo fui su alumno en algunas ocasiones.
Su trato con las demás personas refleja su nivel cultural ampliamente, es bastante
amable, asertivo y muy cordial en su comunicación tanto con los estudiantes, como
con los demás compañeros de trabajo. Dinámico, inteligente, muy dispuesto a
colaborarle al estudiante y bastante empeñado en que el estudiante entienda sus
tareas.
Es una persona muy capacitada académicamente, además sus múltiples viajes lo
convierten en un ciudadano del mundo, con mucho para enseñar de muy diferentes
culturas y de sus múltiples experiencias. Muy abierto a la enseñanza de sus
conocimientos y también a los procesos de transferencia tecnológica que es una de
las grandes necesidades de países como el nuestro.
Tiene un trato jovial, ameno, con muy buen sentido del humor, y bastante
respetuoso, pero accequible.
Cualquier institución estaría orgullosa de tener un profesor como el señor Paradis.
Yo lo recomiendo ampliamente. (Un cambio de políticas de contratación en ULA,
no permitió continuar con su contrato, políticas de austeridad económica).
Observando el tipo de institución a la que usted pertenece, considero que el señor

Sé que protocolarmente debería responder a usted en inglés, pero no
querría que un error idiomático pudiera confundir alguna de las opiniones vertidas
aquí , dada la importancia del tema a tratar. Respondiendo a vuestra solicitud de
referencias sobre el Sr. Anders Paradis , le envío el siguiente informe.
Fui alumna del Sr. Paradis hace dos años en un curso de conversación de treinta
horas de duración en el Instituto ANGLO, en Montevideo -Uruguay, mi país.

Durante el transcurso del mismo pude comprobar que Anders no era un profesor
común, sino uno muy especial . Valoro enormemente su capacidad de relación con
sus alumnos ,llena de una gran calidez pero sin alejarse jamás de su rol profesional.
Busca el modo de involucrar al grupo en el desarrollo del curso, haciéndolo
participar en la elección de la temática a tratar así como en la dinámica a seguir. Y
por supuesto logra adecuar todo esto con el objetivo del curso, haciendo de este
modo, creo, que cada curso sea por ello de carácter único.

Posee una gran habilidad para infundir confianza en sus alumnos, permitiendo a
quien está en uso de la palabra, culminar todo lo que desea expresar y luego con
una gran sutileza, poder realizar la corrección de errores siempre junto al elogio de
los logros. Creo que su gran respeto por las personas nunca le permite olvidar que
quien está hablando está transmitiendo un pensamiento, una idea, y que él ayudará
a mejorar la expresión de la misma.

Su meticulosidad respecto a la gramática y pronunciación ,que siempre hace llegar
junto a su muy fino buen humor , dan la idea al alumno de que hasta ese curso, no
era Inglés lo que aprendía, sino algún balbuceo extranjero.
La utilización de distintos recursos didácticos fue algo constante durante sus
clases, lo que hacía parecer increíblemente que dos horas de clase trancurrieran
apenas como unos minutos, pero por cierto de un modo muy productivo desde el
punto de vista del idioma, y de la calidad de vida que durante ese tiempo
disfrutábamos allí. Es un excelente administrador del tiempo.

Creo que como latina, sería un atrevimiento referirme a su puntualidad . En todo
caso sólo un adjetivo la definiría: Inglesa.
El placer por su profesión se evidencia constantemente.
Creo haber sintetizado lo que más pude destacar de su labor docente, para la que
está sobresalientemente preparado y sin duda especialmente dotado.
Espero haber respondido con esto a sus interrogantes, y estoy a su entera
disposición a efectos de poder colaborar con su tarea, y por supuesto incidir

Paradis for only a short time since he started as a language teacher at ISGR in
November 2006.After this short period I have only positive things to say about Mr.
Paradis. He is a very professional and competent language teacher and also a good
colleague.. I very much appreciate his willingness to discuss and solve problems in
a positive and constructive ways and he collaborates very well with the teaching

My name is Johnnatan Castrillón Duque, and I was studying English with Mr.
Anders Paradis at the Universal Language Academy in Medellín, Colombia. I can
tell you that He is a very good teacher, because He knows a lot of grammar, and is
able to teach it. He’s always willing to repeat a subject when a student has
difficulties to learn.

Also, He has a good pronunciation and he’s always concerned about the
pronunciation and fluency of his students.
I studied with Mr. Paradis 4 months in an Integration Course, and around 2 months
in the preparation for the Melicet Test, and in that time I could learn a lot, because
He shared with us as much as he could, and many times he taught us “extra
topics”, about how to use all the knowledge that we had learned. I remember he
was always smiling and working hard, always knowing the time and topic for the
class what he had to do for the next one, he was never concerned about the time,
because he always said that he loved teaching, and to know people.

The last interesting thing I remember about Mr. Anders personality is that he’s
always carrying a big bag full of books, and the thing is that he has read those
books 3 or 4 times, and they have a lot of notes made by him, so you can know he
loves grammar and studying.
If I could study with Mr. Paradis once again, I would do it.

I knew Anders first in the chat and then in Bucaramanga. I have known him for 4
years now. He is nice, hardworking, never gives up, cheerful, positive, very calm,
very friendly , wears a smil most of the time. He taught me and my children some
English in Bucaramanga and it struck me how well he taught. I can strongly
recommend him. He is always there for me... He is a dynamic and energetic person
without being imposing or pushy. He has a vast knowledge of the English
language, grammar and pronunciation and it is easily seen that he has a long and
thorough experience in teaching.
Although I don´t know his capacity as a teacher trainer I do know him as a friend

PRESENTATION:
Those who know me say that I am a cheerful, positive and humorous person who
smiles very often. I am open-minded, hard-working, pragmatic, flexible and
always prepared to collaborate and find solutions to problems. I love working with
children, teenagers as well as with adults and know how to adapt to the level where
they are and take a real interest in their progress. I study continuously and I like to
be well-prepared and have a lot of books around me. My health is excellent and I
have no criminal record whatsoever. I like physical and practical work as well. I
have a Christian concept of life. As regards teaching I think that it is important to
take an interest in the individual student and encourage him. I believe in a
combination of hard work, amusement and relaxing entertaining tasks. I have a
car so I can get around easily.

It is crucial to practise and speak the language (communicative
approach/pronunciation) but also to have a certain command of writing and
grammar and reading and listening comprehension. According to the Academic
Director of the Colombo Americano Barranquilla. “Mr. Paradis has adapted
himself to his new environment without any problems. So far he has fulfilled all
his duties because of his hard work.” And according to an observational report of
my classes done by a teacher of the institute, Wilfrido Segrera made the following

 The evaluation of my classes by my students at the Anglo,
Montevideo contained similar words of praise and also at my position in
In other  places. In Colombia the students preferred me among the teachers and my
students recommend me to other students.. At my work teachers as well as
students are very content with my teaching and they learn fast and progress.
At my present job I am teaching teenagers, teachers and professional people. I

Estimado/a señor/a

Me llamo Anders Paradis, professor  de  inglés  con  mucha  experiencia, y  enseño inglés en  Skype y vivo en  Benicassim  cerca  de Castellópn de la Plana. España. (2017). El  año  anterior  (2016) trabajé  en Ubrique, España con  adultos,  jóvenes y  niños (PET, FCE,CAE) preparando  exámines de Cambridge  y antes  también de Trinity.  En  2015 estuve  en Suecia reparando  y  remodelando mi  casa. 
Entre 2014 y 2011 trabajé  en  Bogotá, Colombia en  varias  empresas con ejecutivos según  sus  necesidades (un  estudiante o en  grupos, diferentes  niveles) y  también con estudiantes particulares enseñando inglés  a  niños  y  a  sus  padres. 
En 2010-2009 trabajé  en Barbosa, Colombia en  el  ayuntamiento ,  enseñando  inglés al  alcalde y a  los oficiales y encapacitando  a  profesores de inglés  de  diferentes  colegios (la  metodologia, gramática, pronunciación, conversación, como escuchar y hablar y comprensión de textos y como escribir) así como traducir documentos y  proyectos  al  inglés  y del  inglés  al  español.

En 2008 trabajé en  Getafe, Madrid en  empresas internacionales también con  ejecutivos y sus  oficiales (todos los  niveles de A1 –C1). Antes de  eso trabajé  en  varios  colegios en Suecia  enseñando inglés, español, sueco y  frances a jóvenes. 
En 2006-2005 trabajé  como director  académico y  profesor  de  inglés en  una   academia  en  Medellín, Colombia. También  he  enseñado inglés en Montevideo, Uruguay a adultos ( the Anglo School) y  en  Rusia a  niños y jóvenes. En  2003 trabajé  como professor de inglés en Barranquilla, Colombia  en el Colombo Americano. En 2002 trabajé con  niños  de  la  calle  en  Bucaramanga, Colombia (también  dando  clases de inglés). También he enseñado español, francés, alemán y sueco en colegios en Suecia.
Antes, como  estudiante  de inglés a la Universidad de Esocolmo, Suecia,  mi  catedrático de inglés me  eligió para  dar un  curso de  vereano  en  esta Universidad  para  adultos. Como ciudadano  sueco puedo  trabajar en  cualquier país de  Europa. Ya  tengo mi  NIE, la   seguridad  social y una  cuenta  bancaria en España. 

Ya que he trabajado en muchas instituciones estoy bien familiarizado con diferentes libros de enseñanza y pruebas de inglés (Michigan, TOEFL, IELTS, Melicet, Cambridge, Trinity, inglés  para negocios/empresas y otras) pero también tengo mucha experiencia trabajando con clases de jóvenes y  niños (juegos,  canciones). 

Como profesor de  inglés  de  postgrado de  TEFL con  un diploma de profesor  de  inglés de la  universidad y  con muchos años de estudios  en  varios  unviversidades,  tengo  mucha  experiencia (25 años). Tengo un  titulo  de  licenciatura universitaria en pedagogía/TEFL, inglés, español,  teologia (incluyendo  más  de  50 horas de clases observadas y  evaluadas de mi manera de enseñar por profesionales, dando  clases  en colegios  para   niños  y  jóvenes). En la  prueba  de  Melicet saqué 98/100. También   tengo el  conocido  diploma de  TEFL CELTA de la  Universidad de  Cambridge, Inglaterra. 

Soy  ciudadano  sueco y  ya  que he estudiado y hablado inglés toda  mi  vida y vivido algunos años  en  los EEUU,  hablo y  escribe inglés  como  un Americano  nativo con  un  acento norteamericano (competencia de  nativo). Eso  es lo que ingleses  nativos  me  dicen  todo el tiempo.

PRESENTACIÓN:
Los que me conocen dicen que soy un hombre alegre, positivo y humorista y que la risa me sale con facilidad. Tengo genio abierto, soy trabajador, pragmático, flexible y siempre dispuesto a colaborar y buscar soluciones a los problemas. Me encanta enseñar a niños, jóvenes así como a adultos y sé adaptarme al nivel donde estén y tengo un interés verdadero en su progreso.

En cuanto a la enseñanza pienso que es importante ver y animar al alumno individual y ayudarlo. Creo en la combinación de trabajo duro, alegría y actividades de diversión. Es muy importante practicar y hablar el idioma (enfoque comunicativo) y tratar de dominarlo por escrito y con cierta certeza gramatical. Según el juicio de la Directora Académica del Colombo Americano de Barranquilla(va traducido del inglés): " El señor Paradis se ha adaptado a so ambiente nuevo sinningún problema. Mi nombre es Alfredo Gil Guzmán, y me desempeñé como Director Comercial en
Universal Language Academy, durante el tiempo que el maestro Anders Paradis
estuvo vinculado a esta institución. (Efectivamente fui yo quien hizo el primer
contacto con el señor Paradis a través de internet, Luego tuvimos varias videoconferencias).
Considero que hablarle de las calidades académicas del señor Paradis, seria
redundante, puesto que sus títulos y sus diplomas son muy dicientes por ellos
mismos.
Quiero pues, hablarle de Anders Paradis como persona y como profesor según mi
experiencia personal, pues yo mismo fui su alumno en algunas ocasiones.
Su trato con las demas personas refleja su nivel cultural ampliamente, es bastante
amable, asertivo y muy cordial en su comunicación tanto con los estudiantes, como
con los demás compañeros de trabajo. Dinámico, inteligente, muy dispuesto a
colaborarle al estudiante y bastante empeñado en que el estudiante entienda sus
tareas.

Es una persona muy capacitada académicamente, además sus múltiples viajes lo
convierten en un ciudadano del mundo, con mucho para enseñar de muy diferentes
culturas y de sus múltiples experiencias. Muy abierto a la enseñanza de sus
conocimientos y también a los procesos de transferencia tecnológica que es una de
las grandes necesidades de países como el nuestro.
Tiene un trato jovial, ameno, con muy buen sentido del humor, y bastante
respetuoso, pero accequible.
Cualquier institución estaría orgullosa de tener un profesor como el señor Paradis.
Yo lo recomiendo ampliamente. (Un cambio de políticas de contratación en ULA,

querría que un error idiomático pudiera confundir alguna de las opiniones vertidas
aquí , dada la importancia del tema a tratar. Respondiendo a vuestra solicitud de
referencias sobre el Sr. Anders Paradis , le envío el siguiente informe.
Fui alumna del Sr. Paradis hace dos años en un curso de conversación de treinta
horas de duración en el Instituto ANGLO, en Montevideo -Uruguay, mi país.
Durante el transcurso del mismo pude comprobar que Anders no era un profesor
común, sino uno muy especial . Valoro enormemente su capacidad de relación con
sus alumnos ,llena de una gran calidez pero sin alejarse jamás de su rol profesional.
Busca el modo de involucrar al grupo en el desarrollo del curso, haciéndolo
participar en la elección de la temática a tratar así como en la dinámica a seguir. Y
por supuesto logra adecuar todo esto con el objetivo del curso, haciendo de este
modo, creo, que cada curso sea por ello de carácter único.

Posee una gran habilidad para infundir confianza en sus alumnos, permitiendo a
quien está en uso de la palabra, culminar todo lo que desea expresar y luego con
una gran sutileza, poder realizar la corrección de errores siempre junto al elogio de
los logros. Creo que su gran respeto por las personas nunca le permite olvidar que
quien está hablando está transmitiendo un pensamiento, una idea, y que él ayudará
a mejorar la expresión de la misma.
Su meticulosidad respecto a la gramática y pronunciación ,que siempre hace llegar
junto a su muy fino buen humor , dan la idea al alumno de que hasta ese curso, no
era Inglés lo que aprendía, sino algún balbuceo extranjero.

La utilización de distintos recursos didácticos fue algo constante durante sus
clases, lo que hacía parecer increíblemente que dos horas de clase trancurrieran
apenas como unos minutos, pero por cierto de un modo muy productivo desde el
punto de vista del idioma, y de la calidad de vida que durante ese tiempo
disfrutábamos allí. Es un excelente administrador del tiempo.
Creo que como latina, sería un atrevimiento referirme a su puntualidad . En todo
caso sólo un adjetivo la definiría: Inglesa.
El placer por su profesión se evidencia constantemente.
Creo haber sintetizado lo que más pude destacar de su labor docente, para la que
está sobresalientemente preparado y sin duda especialmente dotado.

Espero haber respondido con esto a sus interrogantes, y estoy a su entera

My name is Johnnatan Castrillón Duque, and I was studying English with Mr.
Anders Paradis at the Universal Language Academy in Medellín, Colombia. I can
tell you that He is a very good teacher, because He knows a lot of grammar, and is
able to teach it. He’s always willing to repeat a subject when a student has
difficulties to learn.
Also, He has a good pronunciation and he’s always concerned about the
pronunciation and fluency of his students.
I studied with Mr. Paradis 4 months in an Integration Course, and around 2 months
in the preparation for the Melicet Test, and in that time I could learn a lot, because
He shared with us as much as he could, and many times he taught us “extra
topics”, about how to use all the knowledge that we had learned. I remember he
was always smiling and working hard, always knowing the time and topic for the
class what he had to do for the next one, he was never concerned about the time,
because he always said that he loved teaching, and to know people.

The last interesting thing I remember about Mr. Anders personality is that he’s
always carrying a big bag full of books, and the thing is that he has read those
books 3 or 4 times, and they have a lot of notes made by him, so you can know he
loves grammar and studying.
If I could study with Mr. Paradis once again, I would do it.

I knew Anders first in the chat and then in Bucaramanga. I have known him for 4
years now. He is nice, hardworking, never gives up, cheerful, positive, very calm,
very friendly , wears a smil most of the time. He taught me and my children some

PRESENTACIÓN:
Los que me conocen dicen que soy un hombre alegre, positivo y humorista y que la
risa me sale con facilidad. Tengo genio abierto, soy trabajador, pragmático, flexible
y siempre dispuesto a colaborar y buscar soluciones a los problemas. Me encanta
enseñar a niños, jóvenes así como a adultos y sé adaptarme al nivel donde estén y
tengo un interés verdadero en su progreso.

Soy el estudiante eterno, me gusta estudiar y estar bien preparado y en casa
siempre tengo muchos libros alrededor de mí. Mi estado de salud es excelente y no
tengo nada de antecedentes policiales. Me gusta el trabajo físico y práctico
también. Tengo un concepto cristiano de la vida.

En cuanto a la enseñanza pienso que es importante ver y animar al alumno
individual y ayudarlo. Creo en la combinación de trabajo duro, alegría y
actividades de diversión. Es muy importante practicar y hablar el idioma (enfoque
comunicativo) y tratar de dominarlo por escrito y con cierta certeza gramatical.
Según el juicio de la Directora Académica del Colombo Americano de Barranquilla
(va traducido del inglés): " El señor Paradis se ha adaptado a so ambiente nuevo sin
ningún problema. Hasta aquí ha cumplido todas sus tareas y ha trabajado duro".Y
según un reporte de observación de clases en este instituto el profesor Wilfrido
Segrera comenta: Trabajo: excelente, muy dinámico. Relaciones con los
alumnos/entendimiento: Excelente. Feedback: excelente. La evaluación de mis
alumnos del Anglo, Montevideo se hizo con palabras semejantes y en mi posición
más reciente los alumnos me prefieren entre los profesores y los profesores

Sueco: con fluidez
Inglés: excelente, con fluidez, como un nativo, así me califican los nativos de
los EEUU (he vivido 4 años en los EEUU)
Alemán: entiendo bastante bien y me hago comprender, he dado clases privadas

Francés: entiendo un texto escrito y si se hablo muy despacio, pero he olvidado
hablarlo por falta de práctica. He dado clases para principiantes.
Español: Leo y escribo sin dificultad alguna y comprendo bien cuando se habla
nítidamente y me hago comprender bien al hablar.

PERFIL LABORAL:
Toda clase de trabajo como profesor de idiomas o director académico,
preferentemente inglés (religión, quizá alemán, francés u otras materias en niveles
bajos) y de todos los niveles en cuanto al inglés, así como cursos, otras actividades
de inglés, clases privadas, para larga o breve temporada. Prefiero enseñar en inglés
en una escuela, colegio, instituto o universidad donde la enseñanza se dé en inglés,
aunque también lo podría hacer en español ( ya lo estoy haciendo). También
trabajos de traducción u otros trabajos donde se necesite el inglés o el español.
