The Marketing and Communications Practice at Gartner is looking for a Research and Advisory Manager to strengthen great teams and drive business growth.
Research and Advisory Team Managers play a pivotal role in our business.
They execute Gartner’s business strategy through directing the work of a team of Analysts and Advisors.
They build and manage teams to high quality client engagements, unique and must-have research and development objectives that support long term career growth.
Our VP Team Managers are dedicated to the growth of our business through leading research analysts and collaboration across our partners in research, sales, and service.
They help grow Gartner’s business by shaping a diverse, equitable and inclusive climate that allows advisors to grow and thrive in their careers.
As a VP, Team Manager in the Marketing and Communications practice, you will lead a team accountable for leadership in multiple key initiatives, deliverables across modalities, interactions in our most visible forums, and contributions to our most strategic business priorities.
This team is focused on driving growth and retention of CMOs and their key direct reports within the Marketing & Communications practice.
You will help shape thought leading research and engagements that help our clients design their strategy, build structures, prove value and execute effectively.
Critical to this role is the ability to understand and coach for thought leading content.
What you’ll do.
· Lead your team (7-12 Analysts) through effective coaching / continuous performance feedback, managing performance at all levels and hiring, developing, and retaining top talent.
· Drive the consultative approach through client engagements across the broader team to enable client action and impact.
· Champion content excellence for all Gartner intellectual property including research notes, interactive client resources, diagnostic tools, videos, and other forms of media to share Gartner’s thought leadership with clients.
· Collaborate with sales to ensure Gartner is properly prioritizing and supporting clients’ mission critical priorities through the sales and client experience journey · Collaborate with leadership to shape and execute strategy in a practice where key clients are both business leaders and technology buyers and whose MCPs reflect emerging issues in society, changes in customer behavior, their significant to enterprise strategy, and the early adoption transformative technology such as AI.
· Coach your team to operate with the Gartner business model, mission critical priorities and financial goals.
· Manage team for quality through established processes and metrics, while also supporting the M&C’s commitment to innovation · Define and collaborate on operational strategies for resourcing key components of the analyst and advisory portfolio to serve client needs What you’ll need.
· 15+ years of experience working in a related industry or research/advisory role · Experience managing, developing, and growing a high-performing team in a large enterprise organization preferred · Experienced Team Managers at Gartner are encouraged to apply regardless of current title.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is USD - USD.
Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
