GERMAN-SPEAKING UNDERWRITING ASSISTANT IN MADRID, SPAIN (M/F)Our client is one of the leading global reinsurance companies and insurance providers, operating for nearly 50 years through subsidiaries in Bermuda, Canada, Europe, Singapore, and the US. If you are motivated to build your career in one of the strongest reinsurance companies, make sure to apply to this process and start this interesting international journey.Key Responsibilities:Main goal: Support the Underwriters across new or existing classes of business written in Germany’s existing market, whilst working as a member of the Underwriting Support team to deliver accurate risk, record keeping, and reporting.• To summarize slip terms and conditions, calculate premiums and exposures, and ensure complete accurate entry of submissions, quotes, risks, endorsements, and transactions.• Store all risk information and correspondence in the document repository to ensure a complete and accurate audit trail of all substantive business activity.• Ensure that all relevant underwriting information is included for the peer review, risk entry, and data checking review process within the designated timeframe.• Maintain tools containing key underwriting information to facilitate compliance sanctions, fraud, and financial crime checks pre-bind and monitoring post-bind.• Assist underwriters’ during the underwriting process, production of management information, business development, and marketing.• Provide administrative support to underwriters and the Operations team in areas including credit control, data quality, and training.• Other ad hoc tasks as defined and agreed upon with the Head of Shared Service Centre, the Underwriting Operations Team Leader, and the Underwriting Operations Manager.Qualifications:• Insurance-related experience and/or Law education.• Ability to deal with external stakeholders.• Nice to have: Knowledge of underwriting, claims, and facultative reinsurance processes.• Languages: German (C1 or above) is mandatory.
