TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER

We’re headquartered in Palma, Mallorca and employ around 3,500 people worldwide.ROLE:Reporting to the CTO Office – Programe Manager, this role can be virtually based but may require in-person attendance from time to time to support project progress and outcomes.The project manager is the individual responsible for ensuring project delivery. The individual leads and manages the project team, with authority and responsibility from the project sponsor, to run the project on a day-to-day basis. This teams are usually not hierarchically under the Technology Project Manager, so managing external/third party teams is a key aspect.The project manager will, be the responsible of maintaining the relationship and represent the Technology area in satellite businesses MBR.As well as the formal responsibilities set out below, the project manager has an important role in interfacing between the project and the relevant business areas, Product and the own Technology area.Main responsibilities are:Establishing project milestones and outcomes according to the strategic objectivesPlanning project lifecycle involving deadlines, milestones, and processes.Stablish governance and follow-up actions for track and achieve the milestones set.Identify, quantify & report and resolve any potential risk impacting project delivery.Manage a wide set of stakeholders through expertise and influence (personal gravitas)Manage technology needs, roadmap and relationship together with the business areas assigned (Satellite business)Developing or monitoring budgets and project executionACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe project manager, operating within agreed reporting structures, is responsible for:Designing and applying appropriate project management standards to assigned projectsManaging the production of the required deliverablesPlanning and monitoring all assigned projectsPreparing and maintaining project, milestone and exception plans as requiredDefining governance (as needed), supporting, and administering any steering groups, working committees, forums, or stakeholder groupsSupporting project status communication in the broader organisationManaging project risks, including the development of mitigation and contingency plansLiaison with program/product management (if the project is part of a more extensive programme or product initiative and related projects to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicatedMonitoring overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessaryApplying change control processesReporting through agreed lines on project progress through key highlight reports and end-state assessmentsLiaison with appointed project assurance representatives to ensure the overall direction and integrity of the projectMaintaining an awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and their impact.Adopting and applying appropriate technical and quality strategies and standardsIdentifying and obtaining support and advice required for the management, planning and control of the projectManaging general project administration, including maintaining a documented audit trail of decisions, minutes, and pertinent project materials.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:You have already worked as a Scrum Master, agile coach, or project manager for at least 3 years in the software industry.You have a common understanding of the software development lifecycle.You are a process driven person, using data to measure and monitor progress.You have profound knowledge of managing a Project in iterations / Sprints and make use of the entire range of agile artefacts.You are familiar with other agile frameworks.You are an advanced user of Atlassian JIRA and master Confluence and of MS OfficeYou agree and work according to the values and principles of the Agile Manifest.You feel comfortable managing several stakeholdersYou are an excellent communicator with highly developed verbal and written skills.You work structured and well-organized, while you also have soft kills and some emotional intelligence.You possess excellent English skills to cope with our company language being English.
