As the Project Manager for a commercial Cortical Brain Interface, your primary responsibility is to lead the development team and oversee the project’s execution from conception to completion.
You will work closely with the management team, Development Manager, and Program Manager to ensure that project requirements are met on time and within budget.
Main Responsibilities Define and execute the project plan, tasks, resources and budget Define and prioritize the development tasks, oversee and take part in the development tasks, as appropriate Lead planning, and management of critical initiatives across the development team to achieve their performance schedule and cost targets Liaise with the Development Manager to manage the sub-contractors within the project Facilitate smooth interface and communication between the project team and other functions of the organization Ensure high-quality delivery, while complying with procedures and regulations Support the development and deployment of best practices in the identification of risks to quality, to new product introduction, to production and initiate preventative steps in the project to mitigate these risks Be able to travel from time to time as required by role and business Core Skills/experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Bio-Medical or Industrial Engineering; Masters or PhD in a related field is highly desirable, or an equivalent combination of education and technical experience At least 8 years of experience in the medical device industry and at least 5 years of project management experience Track record of bringing new products from conception to commercialization Demonstrated management and leadership experience in working with cross functional geographically dispersed teams on complex projects Excellent written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills Prior experience working for a MedTech company whose products and processes are FDA-regulated Proactiveness with the ability to work independently Accountable for meeting commitments by following through, with a sense of ownership, and taking personal responsibility for decisions, actions and failures Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
