Trina Solar Limited (TSL) is the world´s leading comprehensive solutions provider for Solar Energy internationally, with a growing presence throughout Asia, Europe and Americas.Since its foundation in 1997 in China, the company has been increasing its competitiveness and efficiency through a fully vertical integration of its business structure, which allows it to remain as a recognized manufacturer of high-quality PV modules (for commercial, industrial and utility scale applications) and manage the development of diversified PV utility projects (including designing, implementing and operating, both for off-grid and on-grid applications).To deliver best projects opportunities and maximize the value of business partner’s investments around the world, Trina Solar is looking for highly qualified, well experienced, hard-working and passionate professionals to develop strategic solutions such as:Business Development & oriented Financing.Full Service EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning).Solid O&M Capability.Join us as a Project Development Manager and be part of an exciting, challenging and dynamic work environment to proactively support the definition and implementation of the expansion strategy of the Project Business Unit through the origination, development and expansion of the PV Project opportunities, also including the establishment of global partnership, contacts and networking with developers, equity partners, off-takers and final consumers in the Region.Main Responsibilities:Originate and develop new PV projects.Screen, filter and select project opportunities.Lead deal structuring and commercial negotiations with developers and other key market players for the acquisition of pipelines or establishment of JVs and other possible partnership.Properly assess the commercial & contractual terms of each opportunity ensuring its economic viability. Also evaluating & understanding both the business and the financial model.Conduct the corresponding prefeasibility studies and assessments with respect to the opportunities;Ensure projects reach ready to build status by managing the relationship with the relevant stakeholders such as developers, authorities, land owners, grid operators, offtakers, advisors, etc.Link and work with local authorities, utility companies and private entities as well as with financial institutions, funds, potential investors and buyers implementing the strategic partnerships for the country.Coordinate the tasks and inputs of the Engineering team as well as the supporting functions such as Legal, Tax, and Finance team – and eventually external advisors - during the development phase as well as during the acquisition and sale phase, if applicable.Lead negotiations and execution of land contracts with land owners and/or public authorities;Perform and implement the Financial and Business Memorandums (IC Memo) and manage all the required internal approval processes providing Management Information and ensuring the right level of control during deployment of the opportunities across the various stages (origination, development, construction and sale).Keep himself/herself timely and fully informed on any market development and industry news/events in order to quickly identify business opportunities.Main Requirements:3 - 5 years’ experience in the development of renewable projects (Solar PV - BESS). Additional knowledge of conventional generation projects and infrastructure sector projects in Spain will be a plusDeep knowledge of the Spanish PV sector, specific regulation, PPA dealing, merchant schemes and high development experience in the country of large scale projects, medium and small projects as well of Solar PV facilities. Proven experience in negotiating and closing commercial transactions with landlords, developers, equity partners, final consumers (due diligence, acquisition, JVs, SPA contract negotiation , EPC Contracts, PLAs/Licenses for Solar Projects)Deep understanding of the permitting processes in Spain application and regulation. Proven experience in multinational environments and complex organizationsExperience on project engineering would be a plus
