MANUFACTURING AUTOMATION ENGINEER INTERN

Por qué te necesitamos? We currently seek a motivated and enthusiastic  Manufacturing Automation Engineer Intern  to join our team for the Summer of .
This internship is based in our Carol Stream, IL manufacturing facility and will provide hands-on experience in various aspects of manufacturing engineering including automation, process development and improvements, quality assurance, purchasing and production planning.
The intern will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers and gain valuable skills that will prepare them for a successful career in manufacturing.
We are looking for candidates enrolled in undergraduate programs in automation, process control, computer science, or electrical, mechanical, chemical or computer engineering.
Selected candidates will work with our Engineering, EHS/Quality, Materials/Logistics and Customer Service departments.
May/June targeted start date.
What you will be doing in this role.
Research automation opportunities for the scope of work.
Prepare capital expenditure request for automation system(s).
Assist in set-up, maintenance, and replacement of automation systems at key points in the production process.
Log equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum functionality.
Report to leadership regarding automation capabilities and status.
Prepare documentation and reports to track project progress and outcomes.
