The External Identity Product Owner will be responsible for supporting the Singapore based xIAM Product Group Owner, Sr.
Manager, as we grow External Identity and Access Management (xIAM) products and services in the Asia Pacific (ASPAC) region.
The person in this role will cultivate relationships with regional business, technology and development partners to define how we can support sector and country specific needs.
They will provide input to xIAM ASPAC adoption and feature roadmaps across our 7 product areas and collaborate with other Product Owners to influence the development of these features into our suite of products.
Additionally, this person will be the one of the primary xIAM contacts for the regional ISRM Business Information Security Officer (BISO) organization, partnering to improve the xIAM intake process and provide feedback on customer identity related concerns and standard processes.
The Product Owner will be responsible for defining country and sector specific requirements and driving delivery of Proof of Concept and “Art of the possible” implementations for ASPAC based on these requirements.
They will grow this capability by establishing a working relationship with our internal technology services organization to establish and be a contributor as part of our engineering team that will develop regional specific features as part of the xIAM Okta practice within J&J.
A successful candidate for this role would be an identity expert with hands on experience in Okta and enterprise deployments for Customer Identity.
Responsibilities.
Partner with Sr.
Manager in role to expand relationship across 40+ ASPAC business technology leaders, defining roadmaps and timelines to drive xIAM use in region Partner with xIAM partners to review features, application requests, and platform design to influence our product backlog Hands on development of Okta proof of concepts and ASPAC specific language and integration needs Screen technical candidates when growing our teams with identity focused engineers Perform demos to collaborators of new Okta features or xIAM developed custom features Support regional monthly and quarterly xIAM update sessions and training opportunities to echo the core xIAM team messages Continue to train on the Okta platform to expand product knowledge Qualifications Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the information security or information technology sector Demonstrated ability in identity and access management with a focus on Okta or similar toolseet Experience developing, integrating, and deploying Okta Experience partnering with enterprise leaders and representatives in the identity domain Hands on experience defining and implementing product roadmaps Solid understanding of IAM principles, protocols (SAML, OIDC, OAuth, LDAP), and security best practices Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with a distributed team Strong problem-solving skills Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and empower multi-functional, interdisciplinary teams Excellent communication Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.
