R&D Systems ArchitectBarcelona, SpainActive Implantable Medical Electronics : Neuroscience InnovationSystems Requirements : Electronics Design : Integration & Test Method DevelopmentOur client is developing the future of AI-empowered neuro-electronic innovation with the capacity to revolutionize traditional neurological therapy.With a substantial recent funding round and FDA Breakthrough Designation, this organization is building and scaling a world-class team of medical electronics engineering team to develop their 1st generation brain computer interface (BCI) real-time neural decoding platform.Currently seeking a new systems architect to lead multiple mission critical system and sub-systems R&D projects associated with this organizations 1st gen BCI technology.Ideally seeking a well tenured background in medical electronics design and development with extensive experience leading multi-disciplinary R&D teams and authoring complex medical electronics systems design requirements.Critical ResponsibilitiesTranslates customer requirements into system requirement and interface definitions.Assess feasibility of technology and contribute to technical concepts.Establish architecture design and decompose the system into lower-level building blocks.Perform functional analysis, create system designs meeting requirements.Contribute to high-level technical planning, supplier work package definition.Assess applicability of standards and norms.Initiate preliminary hazard analysis and establish the risk management plan.Lead the FMEA on system level.Lead system integration and system testing of prototypes.Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, verification, and reports.Create master verification plan for product and manufacturing requirements.Position Requirements:Master’s degree in relevant engineering discipline.Good communication and presentation skills5 years experience (Min) in medical devices design and development with understanding of ISO 13485 and IEC 60601 design control standardsMulti-disciplinary engineering background (e.g., mechanics, electronics, software, data analysis and processing) with a generalist view on system engineering.
