About the position Description WebCargo digitizes global freight sales for over of the world’s largest logistics providers and carriers.
Or, in plain English, we help move the world, offering incredible technology that powers almost a third of the global air cargo market, helping logistics players around the world digitize how they price, book and sell freight.
We’re not alone either.
WebCargo is a proud part of the Freightos Group, a logistics technology company that aims to make global trade frictionless.
We work with the some of the largest companies in the world, are regularly featured in top-tier publications, make our families proud and are traded on the Nasdaq (CRGO) Turns out it’s kind of a big deal.
As the leading global freight booking platform for a massive industry (the phone or computer you’re reading this on was, after all shipped), we’ve been crushing it with double-digit growth, year after year.
We’re bringing global freight online with an outstanding freight booking platform that does well over half a billion dollars of bookings every year.
But it doesn’t happen alone.
It requires persistent brand building, strong, data-driven acquisition, performance marketing, sales enablement, content marketing, product marketing, press releases, a complex tech stack and more.
Most importantly, it requires a (drum-roll) Director of Marketing to make it all happen.
We’ve scaled the company to 95% of the top twenty global freight companies, and have collaborated with the world’s best airlines in getting them online, but we’ve been waiting for you (yes, you) to help us take this to the next level.

We’re about to take off.
Responsibilities.
You will make it all happen, coordinating our marketing activities across our SaaS and transactional platforms around the world.
And you’ll do it from day one, planning, executing and optimizing our marketing strategy.
It’s easy to find a YouTube video so someone saying “Yes”.
We want someone who will challenge everything and build a pitch-perfect strategy across brand marketing, digital acquisition, event marketing, flower arrangement (just checking if you’re paying attention), sales enablement, and product marketing across both enterprise and SMB SaaS platforms.
Once you have that plan (and the flower arrangement), you’ll implement that annual marketing plan, regularly assessing performance (with data, obviously!) and optimising planning.
We don’t know what works but we sure as heck are going to figure it out.
A big part of our marketing strategy is combining thought leadership (yes, we do love the fact that the word ship is in that word), as well as significant paid spending and media buying to spread the cargo digitization word.
Oh, and did we mention trade shows? Biiiiiig fan.
We don’t market so that our mothers see us in the New York Times (although that is fun).
We do it to drive leads, sales and revenue.
You’ll work with our corporate marketing team and operations team to build and provide ongoing reporting and analysis about just how much we’re destroying our targets.
Manage and scale a team of outstanding marketers…then point them in the direction and get out of their way.
Oversee WebCargo’s digital presence, including social media and website.
Yes, our current website is not great.
And yes, you’re going to fix that.
Just to get a little technical, you’ll also help scope and build WebCargo’s technical marketing infrastructure in collaboration with internal and external folks that are just plain (plane?) awesome at what they do.
Requirements Basic Requirements.
7+ years in marketing, with a strong preference towards B2B tech.
Data-driven, with experience building (and exceeding) KPIs.
Experience planning and implementing B2B marketing strategies, including content marketing, performance marketing, and sales enablement.
Strong B2B acquisition experience across multiple channels at scale (ideally in a SaaS tech environment).
Management experience.
Outstanding communicator.
Great organization skills.
Proven capability to learn new markets/sectors.
Preferred requirements.
Bottom-up SaaS experience.
Logistics experience (hey, a guy can dream).
A strong sales enablement background.
A deep love for science fiction, crappy freight puns, and craft beer.
