Reporting to the Sr.
Director, NPI and LCM – TECA & Sports, the Director, NPI ad LCM – HKP/AH/Ex-Fix is expected to lead the engineering Supply Chain performance to contemporary, standard methodology manufacturing and supply chain processes and techniques on a global scale, including the integration of acquired entities.
This leader is has responsibility for overall End to End (E2E) supply chain engineering performance for products within the Hip-Knees-Pelvis (HKP) / Animal Health (AH) / External Fixation (Ex-Fix) value stream, including supporting new product development, lifecycle management to end of life, including launch management of new products from the supply chain function, process improvements, projects, capital management, cost improvements, and developing strategies for innovation and manufacturing of the future.
This leader will have a strong combination of strategic vision and a willingness to be hands-on in all aspects of new product introductions, technical transfers, global manufacturing, and supply chain operations as appropriate.
The Director, NPI ad LCM – HKP/AH/Ex-Fix will have global Supply Chain leadership responsibility of $2.
B+ across all global external manufacturing sites, more than SKUs, annual COGS of ~$450MM with total annual cost actions of $12MM+.
The Director, NPI ad LCM – HKP/AH/Ex-Fix will partner closely with Jabil Healthcare, the TECA strategic external manufacturing collaborator, and other external manufacturers to implement new product launches and ensure timely execution of LCM projects in the areas of patient safety, compliance, quality, service, and value capture for their product portfolio.
The Director, NPI ad LCM – HKP/AH/Ex-Fix will be a member of the HKP/AH/Ex-Fix Value Stream Team and will be instrumental in developing supply chain strategies as a part of Product Strategy Roadmaps and Mission Critical teams which will enhance supply chain reliability, agility, resilience, and product profitability.
They will work closely with other functions, including R&D, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, External Manufacturing, and Commercial.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
·       Has responsibility for technical supply chain aspects of new product introductions and life cycle management for assigned products, prioritizes and manages the total project portfolio for assigned products, provides leadership and/or support to new product development and life cycle projects and all related changes (including design, development, validation, transfers and technologies) ·       Works with R&D, quality, regulatory, MAKE and PLAN to ensure readiness to react to market / customer requirements and deliver on product life cycle innovations ·       In partnership with other supply chain functions and external manufacturers, develop capital budget plans and monitor its performance over time, including long range planning, business continuity and capacity planning ·       Works to ensure newest technologies are evaluated and implemented in alignment with new product launches, lifecycle management, business continuity and capacity planning ·       In collaboration with other functional partners, ensures that programs and projects stay on plan by resolving resource conflicts and removing obstacles, which may involve negotiations with other functions at a senior level ·       Partners to ensure KPI’s are met, with focus on Reliability, Innovation, Profitability and Cashflow metrics ·       Drives talent development across the engineering team to ensure learning and cross functional training ·       Responsible to balance and drive continuous improvement in Cost, Customer Service & Product Quality.
Ensure minimal compliance risk ·       Drive continuous cost improvement in Gross Profit and COGS aligned to Business Strategic Plan for NPIs and LCM ·       Ensuring strong communication of the strategic vision for the business and communication/deployment of Supply Chain Strategies to enable business growth ·       Attract and develop strong, capable engineering talent who possess both the technical acumen and leadership skills to advance the vision of the E2E NPI and LCM organization.
Develop a pipeline of leaders to support succession planning of critical leadership positions within organization Qualifications Education/Training.
·       Minimum Bachelor's degree required; Engineering, Science, or a related Field required ·       Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, Science, or a related Field is preferred ·       Knowledge of and experience in applying Six Sigma and/or Lean methodologies is required ·       Project management methodology certification (e.
., PMP/PMI, FPX) is preferred EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS.
REQUIRED SKILLS.
·       This general management role requires a diverse business background (preferably with direct experience in multiple Medical Devices and Diagnostics companies) with specific Operations competencies inclusive of engineering, product innovation, planning, customer & logistics services, business continuity and capacity planning, and manufacturing.
·       A minimum of 12 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility managing large, multi-site, global organizations, with end-to-end supply chain experience.
·       Work experience within the healthcare (i.

Medical Technology or Pharmaceuticals) industry ·       Project Management experience, including developing and implementing processes for new or existing products/process and/or new technologies ·       Demonstrated experience in supply chain operational management with either internal or external manufacturers ·       Demonstrated ability applying project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, budget management, and organizational change techniques ·       Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills (written, presentation, meeting management, documentation) to effectively persuade and work across segments and functions at all levels of the organization ·       Experience with the global demands of the role specifically.
