CREDIT CONTROLLER

Within Europe, we have operations in a wide range of countries, including France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey and the UK.For our growing Freight Forwarding team in Europe, we are currently looking for a Credit Controller to be based in area of Barcelona, Spain. In this exciting role, you will contribute to the strengthening of our Finance & Controlling team in Spain and also potentially support our teams in France and Italy. As a Credit Controller, you will work independently and report to the Business Controller Spain and will be offered with the opportunity to work hybrid from your home office as well as our new Barcelona branch office. About The Role - How You Will Contribute:• All credit control activities for Spain and potentially assisting our teams in France and Italy;• Liaising with customers by ensuring that Sales invoices are raised and payments are received on a timely basis;• Cooperating with local operations teams & our shared service center to respond to customer queries and solve potential issues;• Obtaining and reviewing remits for allocations of customer receipts;• Setting up new customers and assessing credit terms;• Producing weekly customer aging reports and presenting these to management;• Creating monthly credit control reports to be used in the Management Business Reviews;• Completing bank reconciliations & postings, as well as completing IC reconciliations and settlements;• Working closely with customers and DP World's stakeholders in the regions to work efficiently and effectively;• Acting as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture.What You Will Bring:A minimum of 2 years' experience in an operational credit control position or equivalent;Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to build good relationships with customers and internal stakeholders from different backgrounds and at all levels;Full professional working proficiency in English and Spanish language is required, any additional language proficiency is a plus;Based & authorized to work in Spain, with the ability to work hybrid in our Barcelona office;High proficiency in Excel is a must, experience with SAP and/or Oracle is a plus;Working experience with Freight Forwarding and/or Contract Logistics is an advantage;Motivated & proactive personality who can work independently, prioritize and meet reporting deadlines;Ability to adapt to changing conditions and execute different responsibilities & tasks simultaneously.
