Job DescriptionWhat youll doWe are looking for an experienced Assistant Director of Food & Beverage to join the pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona.
Under the guidance of the Director of Food & Beverage, the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage supports directing the Food & Beverage strategy of the hotel while supporting the Food & Beverage day-to-day tasks.
The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage assures the hotel service is true to the SLS brand by fostering a team culture in which its members feel empowered to make decisions and take responsibility for their workload and professional development.
rive revenue through strategic management of commercial initiatives with the Director of Food & Beverage.
ake responsibility for the branding (in accordance with SLSs brand), revenue and management of food & beverage colleagues in partnership with the food & beverage leaders.
nsures that regular, on-going communication occurs in all areas of food and beverage.
nspire staff, provide guidance and training, and address any performance issues.
ontribute to the hiring process, conduct performance appraisals, and make personnel-related decisions.
ollaborate on financial forecasting and budgeting for the department.
Analyzes financial reports and statements to evaluate Food and Beverage performance relative to budgetary targets.
aintain awareness of market trends, competitor pricing, and sales strategies to inform decision-making.
upport the Director of Food and Beverage in various administrative tasks, including departmental reports and strategic planning.
ssists in the inventory management and ongoing maintenance of hotel operating equipment and other assets.
stablishes clear expectations and holds the food and beverage leadership team accountable for exemplifying desired service standards.
acilitates the integration of new hires into the department through orientation programs and tailored training initiatives to enable successful job performance.
ualificationsWhat we are looking for...
egree with emphasis in Hospitality/Restaurants management.+4 years experience in hospitality within hotels/restaurants with high volume of food & beverage operations in a management position.
nowledge of local market will be a plus.
roven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the companys values.
roficient knowledge of computer systems such as.
Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook is requiredAbility to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
